"Eda! Eda, are you all right?!"
Someone was shaking her and patting her cheeks. Eda groaned, feeling the pain at the back of her head, and when she moved and opened her eyes, the harsh light coming from the ceiling lamps blinded her.
"What happened?!"
"Fifi? What are you doing here?" Eda rubbed her eyes, and then the horrifying events came back to her, and she bolted up, hissing from pain in her ribs. She quickly looked around, and her stomach turned when she spotted a big puddle of blood just next to her and a stain of dry blood on the wall.
"Where is Serkan?! What happened to him?! Did he..." The last word died on her lips.
"He was taken to the hospital, but I don't know anything." Fifi answered, helping Eda to get up.
"What are you doing here?" Eda repeated her question, trying to get out of the way of people running around and securing the place. She could hear a commotion and screams, coming from the lobby of the hotel.
"I was at the base when the central received your signal for help." The black-haired girl answered. "Are you ok? Do you need a doctor?"
"I'm fine." Eda shook her head, when she looked down at her hands and realized she was still clenching Serkan's black suit jacket. She quickly folded and tucked it under her arm and took a blanket from her friend's hands to wrap herself. "What hospital did they take him to? I have to go there."
"Eda." Fifi looked intently at her as they were going down the stairs to the underground parking and toward the car. "You can't. You have to go to the base to report. You know that very well. What happened?"
"I have no idea. Where is Engin? What about your mission?"
"He took Balca and a couple of men and is searching the area. We were done with our job quickly as it was an empty office building, easy to access after hours. There was nothing there." She shrugged, and Eda squinted her eyes at her, getting into the car.
"Nothing?"
"Yes."
"Who was in our backup?" Eda asked when Fifi turned the engine on and drove toward the parking exit.
"Backup?" The black-haired girl frowned, looking at Eda. "You didn't have a backup. I came with a squat sent from the base. Are you feeling all right?"
"I don't know." Eda rubbed her face. "Maybe I'm tired. Did you have a backup?"
"Yes."
Eda kept her face in her palms, trying to recreate the chain of events. She was a bit dizzy, and her mind was foggy, but she didn't like what was happening. She remembered Serkan's words about not trusting anybody.
She glanced at her friend, who was driving the car, and wondered what Fifi was doing there and how she was able to so quickly get to the hotel if her mission was about to take place at the same time as her and Serakn's. They were late but only half an hour. She remembered the time very well.
Eda didn't know what happened and who attacked them, but whoever it was, she had one person to blame, and she was going to kill her the moment she saw her.

The moment Fifi parked under the agency building, Eda got out of the car, furiously slamming the door behind her, and turned toward the entry. She bolted through the corridors, turning down to the stairs and wrapping Serkan's jacket into the blanket.
