Eda was going to her office with the resolution she would lock herself up there, or she would be the one who would throw herself on Serkan's neck. She was still reliving in her mind their New Year's Eve kiss, and the longing she felt for him was getting more and more hard to bear.
She wanted him, memories or not. He was still the same. He was her Serkan. The man with whom she fell in love one year ago. Nothing changed about him. He just moved back in time. They had amazing memories, but they could create new ones if only fate would give them a chance.
Eda just turned to the staircase leading to her office when she met very disturbed Engin, followed by Piril. She instantly got worried about Serkan.
"Did something happen?" She asked before Engin could even open his mouth. "It's Serkan? Something happened to Serkan?"
"Eda, relax." Engin put his hand on her shoulder, seeing how distressed she became. "Nothing happened to Serkan, he's all right. He's just asking questions that are more difficult to answer, and he just came to me with one even I had no idea about, and if he would start to dig, it all can blow up in our faces and I don't want it to turn against you."
Eda felt uneasy. She had no idea what he was talking about. "Engin, stop talking in circles and tell me what Serkan was asking about."
"Did you two buy the new house?"
"Ne?" Eda asked in shock.
"I thought you knew." Engin answered with a nervous smile. "I had no idea what Serkan was talking about, but he just came to me asking if know anything about the new house he bought around September. He got a call from the contractor to finalize the payment for the renovation, and when he met with his accountant, he told him it was a big sum. Serkan went to visit the house. He said it was a huge estate more for a big family to live in, not for a bachelor like him. He looked confused and was asking weird questions. I thought you bought it together."
Eda was listening to her friend's words with silent tears flowing down her cheeks. She had no idea Serkan bought the house for them, but now when she finally found out, it all suddenly made sense.
"Eda?" Engin asked, awaiting her answered, and Piril came close to her to hug her tightly.
"I... I didn't know about the house." Eda started to sob in her best friend's embrace. "I told Serkan half a year ago that I wanted to talk with my financial adviser about how much I can start to save so we could buy the house together when we'd have a family, and Serkan always was changing the topic or saying that I should not worry about, but he was asking me what I would want to have in my dream home. I had no idea he was planning to buy it for us. He told me he had a surprise for me, but I would never think it was a house!" She broke down completely.
"Did something happen?"
Eda, Piril, and Engin got startled and looked in the direction of the stairs, where they spotted Serkan looking at Eda with a worried expression on his face. At his sight, Eda only started to cry more.
"I must run." She whispered to the redhead, who nodded and pulled Eda in the other direction, leading her to her office. Eda could hear Serkan ask Enign about her, but he avoided the answer. And that made her sob even more violently.

Eda left the building, wanting to go for a launch. For the last couple of days, she assumed the practice of leaving the moment she had a break so Serkan could find her anywhere. And she knew he tried.
