Eda sneaked into the empty amphitheater. She sat on the edge of the stage, looked at the stars in the night sky, and waited. She was early and had a lot of time to think, so she did exactly that.

She thought about everything. Her past, present, and future. Her childhood and early teen years she spent with Serkan, long twelve years without him, and the possibility of their future together or apart.

She knew it was a turning point in her life. She couldn't lead this empty existence anymore, waiting for a miracle to happen that would turn everything around. It was happening right now, and now she had to accept what it would give to her and move forward one way or another. Or Serkan would be back in her life, or he would leave it for good, together with her thoughts and dreams.

Eda hoped that she wasn't mistaken and her miracle really came. If not, why would her path cross with Serkan's again? She had no reason not to believe him when he told her he didn't know anything about her whereabouts. It was destiny that made them meet again, and Eda was a strong believer in destiny and its powers.

Now, it was up to Serkan. Or he still was her Serkan and would let go of his hurt pride and come to her, or Eda was going to forget about him forever, accepting him to be only a cherished memory of her past, but nothing more.

Eda sat in the amphitheater for a long time before she heard steps behind her back. When they stopped, she started to speak. "Have you ever learned what happened that day when we saw each other last time?"

The silence followed, but Eda continued.

"He told me horrible things, laughed at me, humiliated me. He knew my every secret. He had my letter that no one ever was supposed to see."

She paused for a second to wipe a tear that fell off the corner of her eye.

"Two years later, I found out the truth. That he did all of that on purpose. He was jealous of what we had, so he destroyed it before it could even flourish into something more mature."

Eda fell silent. Serkan walked closer and sat next to her. He was looking at the same point in the sky as she. The Sirius star, which they used to watch together when they were kids.

"I beat the shit out of Alp that day." He said in a voice slightly shaking from the years of resentment and regret. "When I found him, his friends were already gone. I was working out for months, so I beat him up for the first time in my life. He wasn't stronger than me anymore. I broke his wrist and knocked off his tooth. I would probably do more because I was blinded by rage and years of hatred I felt for him, but Alptekin found us and ripped me off him. He was still stronger than me. They called the police and it took me away. They filed an official report against me, and right there at the police station, they told me I'm adopted, they don't want me anymore, they never wanted me, but were paid well to take me because my biological family wanted to get rid of me, and now I can get the fuck away."

Eda moved closer to Serkan and placed her hand on his fist. He didn't look at her but didn't take his hand away, either, relaxing slightly under her touch.

"I was sent to juvenile hall, and my orphanage acts where pulled out. My real name and family information were there, and it turned out that they wanted me back. They called two years prior with a change of heart and were refused information about me, but in this case, they were contacted again. Turned out that I was the last one from Bolats and my grandparents, as their all children died without any grandchildren other than me, had a sudden change of heart because they wanted their fortune to go to their own blood, so suddenly I, even if I was out of wedlock child, was worthy enough."
