Eda arrived at the office, where the meeting between the legal teams of Serkan and his former PR manager was about to take place, just ten minutes before the appointed time. After yesterday's evening and her almost kiss with Serkan, she decided to keep away from him and avoid spending any more time with him, above what her work obligation required from her.

She walked through the hall, slightly surprised by the emptiness of the floor, when a receptionist came to her to announce that there was a half an hour delay from the part of the opposite team and asked her to wait in one of the offices.

Eda thanked the woman and marched angrily in the appointed direction. Why was she the only one not informed? She angerly tossed her purse onto the desk. It was how Serkan was getting back at her from running away from him yesterday? Now he was toying with her and wanted to punish her by wasting her time? And she was warming up to him, thinking he wasn't that bad. Oh, no, he was even worse, and she was stupid and fell for his nice smile and fake words.

What a full of himself arrogant asshole!

Eda was busy coming up with very creative and painful ways how she was going to kill that ass when the ass in question entered the office, glanced around, and when he noticed the empty room and only Eda at the desk shooting him a death stare, he stopped at the door and frowned.

"Where is everybody?" He asked very grumpy Eda.

"And how would I know?" She spat angrily, and Serkan looked at her with wide eyes.

He checked his watch. "Was the meeting scheduled at eleven o'clock, or did I hear wrong?"

"You didn't know it was moved?" Eda asked, watching him suspiciously.

"It was moved?" Serkan snorted, pulling his lips into a tight grimace. "Fucking great."

Eda looked at him incredulously as he pulled out a chair at the opposite side of the table and sat on it heavily, seething from anger. He really didn't know, so he wasn't playing with her.

Eda suddenly put her head down, feeling ashamed for every curse and insult she sent in Serkan's direction completely unfairly. She was well aware of her problem with impulsiveness, and judging people too quickly was her biggest vice, which she wasn't able to improve since she was a child. It only brought her troubles.

Eda glanced at Serkan, who got busy with his phone and did not even speak or look at her. She felt disappointed that he didn't try to initiate any contact with her, but wasn't it what she wanted? Why did being ignored hurt so much? She never was an attention seeker and yet it was what she secretly wanted from Serkan, his attention and his smiles.

Eda examined Serkan's demeanor. He looked tense, but also sad and withdrawn. She wasn't surprised, the meeting that was awaiting him was nothing but unpleasant and she wouldn't be thrilled if she were in his place.

But Eda couldn't shake the odd feeling that the tension that raised again in the room wasn't caused by the legal threats of the former PR manager but was the result of their yesterday's encounter.

Don't be stupid. She quickly shook her head and looked down at her folders, which she always carried around. Surely she was reading too much into that evening. Nothing happened and nothing that was happening now was connected to her.

Eda tried to focus on her documents to kill time while waiting for the rest of the team to arrive, but she couldn't do anything. She wasn't able to concentrate as Serkan's compelling presence was pulling her, gathering her whole attention, even if he sat at the end of the room, as far from her as possible.
