Eight years later...

Eda stopped in front of the entry to the literature department's building at Boston University. She checked the time. She still had around two hours of free time as she finished running her errands earlier, so she passed the door and went to look for an ancient literature class.

She found it in an auditorium on the second floor. The class was about to end, so she slipped through the door and quietly walked along the wall so as not to draw too much attention to herself. She sat in the third row from the front.

She smiled, seeing that the lecturer didn't notice her as he was back turned to the students, busy with writing on the blackboard. Eda looked with appreciation at his strongly built body in black suit pants and white shirt. Her eyes lingered a bit longer at his muscular butt, and she had to refrain from sighing.

She tore her gaze from the lecturer's broad back, glanced around, and frowned at the number of female students drooling over the same parts of his body as she was just a second ago. Eda pursed her lips in an angry grimace, murdering with her gaze a couple of girls sitting the closest to her until a deep voice gathered her attention.

"We have a couple of minutes left, so we can choose the lecture for next week's topic, the Hellenistic literature. Did some genre particularly interest you?"

"Dr. Bolat, could you point out to the most important genres for us?" One of the girls looked at him, fluttering her eyelashes and trying to sound sexy. "It's hard to choose from such a big collection."

Eda raised her brows, hearing the emphasis on the word big, and shook her head, rolling her eyes.

"I would want to choose." She spoke up, drawing Serkan's gaze, and he smiled, seeing her raised hand. "Leave aside for a moment the boring library catalog. What about the origin of romance and first romances? I would rather say the prototype for the first bodice ripper romances and those ancient Greeks had a hardcore approach, even Romans mocked them later. Kidnapped by pirates just after getting married, a thirty-year gap in the relationship, this more than in any modern crazy love story, spent in the brothel but, of course, staying faithful to each other. Who even comes up with ideas like these?"

"Interesting approach, Miss?" Serkan smirked, turning in her direction.

"Mrs." Eda answered shortly, reciprocating his smirk. "So, would you agree with me, Dr. Bolat? It's such a big, huge," She glanced at the student who spoke up first. "Topic, but barely touched."

Serkan rubbed his forehead to cover the roll of his eyes and looked back at Eda. "I couldn't agree more."

He turned toward the students. "So, let it be, the Hellenistic romance for next week, there are five of them, everybody must've chosen at least two. I will check your knowledge. That's all for today."

The murmur resonated through the auditorium as students started to pack their things, and slowly were leaving the room.

Serkan approched Eda, leaning on the first row in front of her. "Maybe we can continue this discussion over a coffee?"

"Are you asking me on the date, Dr. Bolat?" Eda smiled flirty at him. "Isn't that against the University policy?"

"No, it's not, and you are not a student."

"Maybe I just enrolled. Transfer from another country."

"So what about our date?"

Eda sighed theatrically, taking her bag and leaving her row as Serkan came closer to her. "I promised myself to insert more romance into my life. I've been told, I have not romantic side, but it's hard running a business with two small kids hanging off my neck. Unfortunately, my time is up now."
