"Girls, dinner is ready. Are you coming?" Esra called, sticking her head through the balcony window where Eda was hiding from Serkan.

She dragged Kiraz to the small balcony of the empty room of the mansion, far from the places usually occupied by the Bolat family, on the excuse not to make too much mess while painting the view outside of the property.

"What is for dinner? I'm starving." Kiraz quickly abandoned her brushes and jumped off the stool to wash her hands.

"Kofte, your and Serkan bey's favorite."

"Guzel." The little girl was already out of the door.

Eda's stomach growled, reminding her that it was her favorite dish too, but she started cleaning the balcony in the hope of avoiding the dinner. She wasn't looking to see Serkan after she agreed on a date with him due to her stupid jealousy attack. She didn't know where it came to her from, but the moment she saw Selin looking at Serkan as if he was her favorite meal, she couldn't help herself. She almost was ready to make out publicly with him just to piss off that blonde bitch.

"Eda, leave it for now." The housekeeper was still waiting for her. "Now, go eat dinner while it's still hot. It's my specialty."

Eda smiled faintly at the woman, knowing she couldn't make an excuse and flee. She left the paints and brushes and, with a little helpless sigh, followed Esra to the dining room.

Eda wondered where she left her brain today, probably in the drawer, because it definitely wasn't in her head.

When she entered the dining room, everybody was already there, and to her tiny relief, it looked like at least Selin didn't invite herself to the family dinner. Eda could bet she tried but also was more than sure Kemal showed her the door. She already had learned that this man didn't like Selin. That made him even more likable in Eda's eyes.

Aydan was sitting at the top of the table with her husband on her left, and Kiraz climbed on the chair next to her grandfather. Eda wanted to sit next to her when Serkan pulled the chair, smirking at her. She shot him a glare, wanting to wipe this smug smile from his face, but he only cocked his brows, pointing at the chair.

Eda didn't have any other choice. She didn't want to cause a scene in front of the whole family. It would draw their attention to whatever was happening between her and Serkan. She would die from embarrassment if they would notice and she didn't even want to imagine what would they think about her.

Eda sat down, trying not to look at Serkan as he immediately took a seat next to her, pushing his chair closer to her. She wanted to pull away but was blocked by Esra, who sat on her right. With another sigh of surrender, Eda dug into her meal. At least the dinner was delicious, so she focused her attention on the meat.

The conversation flowed naturally, as Aydan was ruling the room as always, and Eda started to relax, enjoying her evening, when Kemal suddenly turned to her.

"Eda, do you need a ride home? I'm going later to Taksim. So I can drop you on my way." He proposed.

"Eda is not going home today." Kiraz answered causally. "We are going with Daddy to the zoo tomorrow morning to see okapis, so Eda is staying for the night."

"Are you going to the zoo, and Serkan is going too? Willingly?" Kemal raised his brows, looking at his son with surprise. "I thought you said you would never put your foot there until they improve the customer service."

"In that case, I can go just with Kiraz." Eda said, sensing the occasion to get out of the date with Serkan.

"I wasn't talking about that zoo." Serkan quickly intervened, squinting his eyes at his father. "And you probably heard something wrong."
