Eda ran her fingers through her loose locks, brushed them to the side, and smiled at her reflection in a big full-length mirror in her room at Bolat's mansion.

They still didn't move out as Serkan insisted on designing and building the house for them. He had already secured a parcel next to his partner's property, and the works were about to start in early spring. Meanwhile, they split their time between staying at the house behind the stable and the mansion as they didn't want Kiraz to feel left out, so where they were staying here, they were sneaking out at night to each other's rooms just like teenagers.

Eda looked through the window and saw it started to snow. The weather was perfect for this time of year, with everything covered in white snow, creating a magical atmosphere.

She put on her earrings and the necklace she got from her parents on this occasion as today was Eda and Serkan's engagement party New Year's Eve's day, and the whole Yildiz family and closest friends came to Istanbul and were staying at Bolats. It was good that the mansion was so big that was able to house everybody because Eda's family by any means could be called small.

Eda's mother and grandmother were already fully engrossed in wedding planning for the next summer, and surprisingly Melo was with them, giving her strong opinion about every detail. Eda was fine with this as long as she would have the final say over her dress.

Her father disappeared somewhere with Kemal. Both men immediately found a common language over their mutual hobby of fishing, about which no one ever knew before, and were gladly hiding together from their wives while Serkan was entertaining Eda's extensive family, showing her aunts and uncles around the mansion, charming them with his wit.

Piril and Engin were keeping an eye on her cousins' many offsprings, who were playing with Kiraz and Can, giving Eda a moment for herself to get dressed and do her makeup and hair.

Eda adjusted the puffy sleeves of her red mini dress, which she chose with Kiraz for the engagement party under the approving gaze of Serkan, and left her room. She turned toward Kiraz's room to look for a matching bow to the little girl's red dress when she found her inside, playing with her okapis.

"Kiraz, what are you doing?" Eda asked, sitting on the floor, seeing that she was trying to secure a piece of white tulle on okapi's head.

"I'm trying to make a veil." Kiraz answered, sticking her tongue out, concetration on her task.

Eda laughed and took the piece of tulle to examine it. "We need a ribbon to tie it. Wait a minute, I will go look for a needle and help you with sawing."

She quickly jumped on her feet and tip-toed to the other, less frequently used staircase to go to the kitchen, so her family wouldn't notice her, found the sewing box in one of the drawers, and sneaked back to the first floor. With the help of Kiraz, she managed to successfully sew a long vail for the stuffed animal and put it on its head.

"I'm not sure what to put on the groom." The little girl remarked, furrowing her browns, when Eda finished sewing the tulle skirt for the okapi bride. "A suit is rather out of our capabilities."

"Definitely. I can't sew that well. But what about a black tie bow?"

"Perfect." Kiraz decided. "And what about babies?"

"Flowers on their necks? They can be flower girls."

"Eda?" Kiraz suddenly spoke up, looking down at her hands a bit nervously. "Will okapi fiancee be upset with her groom being tied?"

She pointed at the red ribbon, which was still on the legs of two original okapis.

"Why?" Eda answered softly and smiled at the girl. "This is the symbol of their bond. And it's a beautiful thing. Why would she be upset?"
