chapter 62 - Part 2: revelation
Sebastian Sallow
Ancient magic fire blazed across the room, a sweltering fence that divided Sebastian and Y/n for a moment in time.
But as Y/n stepped forward with lethal grace, her eyes piercing through Sebastian like ice through his heart, the fire stopped with a single wave of her hand.
"Y/n, do you remember me?" Sebastian attempted to call forth her mind, though his heart was pounding so violently. "You have to remember me."
Y/n blinked and for a moment, Sebastian could have sworn there was a flicker of recognition within her. But it disappeared just as quickly, her steps continuing forward.
"She won't listen to you," Marvolo taunted, making a show of Salazar Slytherin's wand. "This wand is too powerful. Even on her."
"Sebastian," Ominis gritted through his teeth, "take care of Y/n. I'll take care of my brother."
There was no time for Sebastian to respond as Y/n struck with her ancient magic, a bolt of blue lightning materializing from above. He hurled himself to the side just to avoid it because no charm could have countered it.
Y/n faced Ominis next, preparing another attack.
"Y/n!" As much as Sebastian hated it, he cast a spell her way to capture her attention. He smirked when she turned away from Ominis and faced him again. "There you are, my love. Remember me? Focus on me."
On the other side, Ominis struck at Marvolo. "Expelliarmus!"
A stream of red flowed out of Ominis's wand, but Marvolo countered it with his own magic, their spells meeting in a vicious battle in the middle.
Salazar's wand was allowing Marvolo to multitask with the spells, the Imperius Curse unbreakable on Y/n.
Y/n kept her focus wholly on Sebastian, her hands once again blazing with fire and lightning.
This time, Sebastian was overpowered. He could not dodge the next hit, the lightning feeling like a sharpened blade. Blood pooled down his arm, but adrenaline was too high that he almost didn't feel it.
Sebastian was at war with his love, but also within himself.
Looking into her eyes that have turned into ice from their comforting warmth, he could not bring himself to fight. He loved her too much.
