Y/n's Perspective

13 August, 1895

The warm summer air wafting through the opened balcony of my bedroom did nothing to calm my nerves. Although I looked calm enough in my wedding gown whilst standing on a small platform so the girls could help me get ready, my heart ran wild inside my chest.

My widened gaze reflected at me in the floor-length mirror. Sun rays embracing my skin to make it glow.

Anne and Aura stayed with me, while Imelda, Natty, and Poppy went to the meadow where the wedding was being held just to ensure everything was in place and no decorations had been misplaced.

"I'm going to throw up," I told Anne and Aura, clutching my stomach dramatically.

"No, no, no, nope! No throwing up for the bride today! I forbid you!" Anne scrambled around in her gold bridesmaid gown while Aura stayed behind me, lacing my ribbons behind.

"Grab the bracelet!" Aura instructed, her fingers working fast to lace up my corset.

I was used to wearing a corset but now I felt like ripping it off so I could breathe.

"Here! Found it!" Anne held up my charm bracelet, running back to me and wasting no time grabbing my lacy-gloved hands so she could clasp it around my wrist.

"Wait, hold on," I said in between uneven breaths.

"What?" she blinked.

I took off my gloves and tossed them on the floor, then held out my wrist to Anne. She shook her head with a grin then gave me my bracelet, delicately clasping it without any more words.

I immediately felt better, my finger desperately fiddling with the strawberry charm and Sebastian's first letter initial, which I knew had let him feel for my heartbeat. I'd also added a charm Poppy made from one of the pebbles she gathered yesterday. The girls wore matching necklaces too, all from Poppy, the friendship bracelets we always had on saved for after today.

The gloves were a great idea at first, but now I've decided I want to feel Sebastian's skin on mine while we said our vows with nothing to separate us.
