She stood there in complete silence as she watched him walk side by side with her. He had fallen for her harder than he would ever fall for the (Y/H/C) head girl whom had followed him throughout their entire lives. She was just like Tatia. (Y/N) knew another would follow, just as Katerina had but they didn't know this one's name. At least, (Y/N) didn't.

She graced the ballroom floor as she and Elijah danced gracefully across it. Jealousy raided through the vampire girl's heart, but what was she to do but stand there and watch? She just hoped that her dear, Niklaus would soon hurry. For (Y/N) couldn't wait it out much longer.

As if on queue, in walked the man in all his fruitfulness. "Well hello, love." He greeted as he walked up beside her and gave a quick kiss to her temple.

"Be careful, Niklaus. He might think we are actually friends once more." The (Y/E/C) eyed girl said with a small giggle.

"For when did we ever stop, (Y/N/N)?" The Mikaelson man questioned.

She laughed. "Twas only a joke, Nik." (Y/N) turned and gave the man she had deemed to be her long lost brother, a hug. "Walk with me?"

"Of course." Niklaus held out his arm, to which she gratefully took and led her out into the garden right outside her home. "So what is the urgency on which you wrote to me?"

"I found another." She whispered with a great sigh. "Look as that of Tatia but I have no knowledge of her name nor do I care to know."

Niklaus nodded. "How, I must ask, did you manage to find this doppelgänger?" He questioned as he unlinked his arm from her hand to allow her to take a seat on her favorite bench outlooking the valley to which she lived above.

"She found us." She responded. "Covered head to toe in mud. She looked as if she had been running from something or someone. I do not know of what it could have been but I was very reluctant to let in my home. Our dearest, Elijah, saw her and practically spoke in my honor."

Niklaus could tell how hurt (Y/N) was feeling just in the tone of her voice. "I am to assume that he took to her as he had Katerina and left you to wait on her every hand and foot."

"I would not have put it into those words but I cannot tell you that you are wrong." The girl sighed once more. "I have felt as though I'm an outcast in my own home. My own home, Nik. I have helped a great deal of people in this house but I do assure you that she was never to be intended to be one of those people. To if Elijah is to be mad at me for writing you, dear brother, then that will be something I have to deal with and have hope that one day he could forgive me. If he should not then it would be a lonely existence for the rest of my eternity."

He sat down next to the woman he considered more family than his own blood. "If he is to deem himself foolish to be mad at you, my sister, then you must know, now and forever, that you will always have a home with me. I will always come to your every call and will always bid in your favor. Elijah is quite blind to see the love that stands before him everyday."

(Y/N) gave the Mikaelson boy a sweet smile. "I do say, Niklaus, that I truly appreciate all that you have done for me."

"For you, my dear, (Y/N), I will continue to do so." Niklaus gave her a chaste kiss on the side of her head before standing straight. "I assure you, this problem will be resolved before night's end. Maybe even sooner." And with that, he left to fulfill his word to her.

She sat upon her bench until the sun rose in the sky. When she finally made her way back into her mansion, not a soul remained in the ballroom. "Elijah?!" (Y/N/N) called out, but she heard no reply, which deeply saddened the girl. She could feel as the tears welled up in her (Y/E/C) eyes as the thought of losing him became stronger and harder to escape from.

"There you are!" Came his voice from the entrance of the room. "I have been looking all over for you." Elijah said as he increased his pace to reach where she stood quicker. "My dear, you had me worried."

"I twas only in the garden." She said as he pulled her into his embrace.

"Of course you were in the one place I neglected to look." He said as he held her tightly to him. "Whatever is the matter, my love?"

"I thought you had left as well for me writing Niklaus but.."

"But I knew of the promise you made my dear brother and I could never be mad at you for fulfilling your promise to anyone. You are a woman of your word and that is something I have always deeply admired about you." Elijah reached up to wipe away a stray tear that had fallen down (Y/N)'s cheek. "I would never leave you behind. As long as I have a choice in this world, I will always and forever choose you over anyone else put before me. Please always know that of me."

(Y/N) nodded. "I hope you know that you are solely the only one I would give anything and everything for in this world, Elijah Mikaelson. God, forbid me, if you were to ever leave me, I wouldn't a clue of what to do from there on." She confessed.

"Do not ever worry about that, (Y/N/N). Because, my dear, it will never happen."
