I had just got home from work and sat down to study for an exam that I had later on in the week. It had already been a long day from school to work afterward. Everything just seemed to drag on and on throughout the whole day. The day was dragging on into the night.
Just as I was getting everything set up the way I needed it to study efficiently when there was a knock on my door. "Ugh!" I groaned as I slammed my highlighters down on my table and walked over to the door to open it. Swinging it open, I said, "This better be good. You all know what my plans were today."
"Well, to be fair, I was never told." Said the voice of someone I thought I would never hear again.
I stood there with my mouth agape. "Jeremy?" I questioned in almost a whisper. "Is that really you?"
The Gilbert boy nodded. "Yeah."
"Y-you're really here? W-what? How?"
He smiled. "Bonnie."
I quickly hugged him tightly, afraid that this moment wasn't really happening. Afraid that my boyfriend wasn't really standing there at any front door, wrapping his arms around me. "Remind me to get her a really nice gift to thank her." I said as I did my hand into his hair.
"Noted." He said and did the same to me. "I heard you have been keeping yourself busy while I was... well... gone. So I brought snacks and about five different kinds of soda to keep us energized while we stare at papers and screens all night."
I pulled away from him with a confused look on my face. "Wait. Just hold on a minute." I said and looked as his face changed. "You think after having my heart ripped out of my chest when you died that we could just study all night for an exam that is like three days away?"
Jeremy nodded. "Well, yeah. That was my plan."
Letting out a sarcastic laugh, I just shook my head. "No, Jer. No." He looked at me very confused because normally I never said no to a study date with him. Never to a date at all with him. "I'm not going to just go back to studying knowing that the love of my life has just come back from the dead." I stated with a smile plastered on my face. "We have a lot of time to make up for."
Jeremy smiled once again. "Show me the way, baby"
He walked in slightly and placed all the bags he had in his hands down next to the door before closing it and picking me up bridal style, making me laugh.
"You know the way." I said and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Depends on where we're going. Couch or bed?" Jeremy said with a smirk plastered on his face.
"Either is fine by me." I stated and kissed him harder than I ever had before.
"Couch. It. Is." He said between kisses then headed towards the living room.
