Watching her living, her best life in New Orleans was one of the few things that brought me joy nowadays. From the day I met (Y/N) (Y/L/N), she had told me that she always had called the wrong place home. That her heart had always felt the pool to come here and live our dreams in the French quarter. So when I had the chance to bring her, I did just that.

On a normal day, it was rare to see (Y/N/N) without a smile on her face as she walked around the corner with a member of my family or myself. She loved to sit on her bedroom, balcony, and just listen to the sound of music that travel down to her on the days she didn't feel like going out. Her favorite meal was the jambalaya from the small family-owned restaurant down the street. (Y/N) would walk him around cemeteries for the hell of it. It wasn't hard to tell that she was never truly home until we brought her here.

Today was one of those days that she wanted to go out with Rebekah and my sister can never dream of telling the sweet, (Y/H/C) headed girl no. So they left out this morning to do a bit of shopping. I, on the other hand, was spending my day on the terrace watching from afar as my sister and my best friend walked around the shops near the compound with arms already full of shopping bags from the different places they have already stopped at.

"My dear brother, are you spying on the levee human girl again?" Came the voice of my brother, Niklaus from behind me.

"Is it really spying if she knows that I'm watching, brother?" I questioned as (Y/N) looked up with a smile on her face, and waved at the two of us.

Nik and I weigh back at the girl before she went back to whatever conversation that she and Bekah were having.

"Well I would suppose not, but I would think you would be spending time with Davina."

"Why on earth, would you think that?" I question as he took a seat that (Y/N/N) would normally occupy when we sat out here together.

"According to what the young witch told Camille, the two of you have gotten pretty close." he started as he mimicked me in watching our sister and the (Y/L/N) girl enjoy themselves.

My eyes start to roll on their own accord. "So she wishes, brother. I'd much rather spend my time doing just this." I stated, and take a sip of the tea that I had in hand. "Davina Claire is to me as Hayley Marshall is to you. Someone I just have to put up with."

"Ah but the difference between Hayley and the Claire witch, is that I do care for Hayley." Nik states as he looks over to me.

The two of us sat in silence for a while just enjoying the nice day before I spoke up. "She seems so happy doesn't she?"

Niklaus nodded. "That she does." he said, with a smile. "You're in love with her aren't you?"

"More than you can ever imagine." I admitted.

"Will you ever tell her?" He questioned.

"When the time is right, I will. I will tell her and we will settle down close to here. In the quarter I'm sure because I could never tell her away from her happy place. Or maybe a plantation near the bayou. She loves it out that way too." I confess daydreaming about the future with the (Y/L/N) girl.

"Will she let you turn her, so your forever will last?" he asked.

"(Y/N) has spoken on the subject before. He said when she was ready, she'll come to me. But she wanted to spend a little more time as a human before she had to survive on blood." I said, with a small chuckle during the last part.

Niklaus chuckled slightly himself before he said, "I have a feeling she would give the world for you as you would for her. (Y/N) would make a great addition to our family, Kol."

"She already is, Niklaus." I said and turn my attention back to the (Y/E/C) eyed girl out on the street. "Just look at her brother. She's the only one in a long time to accept us for who and what we are without question or hesitation. (Y/N/N) would go where ever we do without a second thought. Where she can be a totally different person around other people. She is totally herself around us. The girl is always the one we all go to when we just need someone to listen. (Y/N) has made her imprint on every single member of our family without even trying. Forget her being a (Y/L/N). She's a Mikaelson through and through." I say, with a smile on my face.

"I couldn't have said it better myself brother." Klaus said as he looked back over at me. "She also knows we'll defend her with our lives."

"Though that is true, I do believe the family element is what she has been looking for the entire time."

"Has she never had that?" my older brother questioned.

I shook my head. "Not really. Her father was a workaholic by day and an alcoholic by night. She's told me stories of how her mother was pretty much absent, her entire life, leaving for weeks at a time, and only coming home for a few days at the most before leaving out again. When her father died, her mother left for good without saying a word. Until I found her she was totally alone." I explained.

"Well, I'm quite glad she has entrusted us to be that family for her." Nik stated, turning his attention back to the streets below us. "But do make it official sooner rather than later."

"Will do brother. Will do."
