It had been over ten years since I had physically gone to visit her. I never understood how she could do it in the state that she was in but (Y/N) was always able to get in my head every so often to let me know she was still here. Even though I have been back in Mystic Falls for years now, I haven't gone to go see her. It was beyond time.

So I drove out here to the old cemetery and parked right outside the gate. I sat out in my car for what seemed like forever just preparing myself before getting out and walking to the tomb that stood in the very back. Opening the gate, I walked inside after standing there for a moment. When inside, there was a small bit of light that showed in from the small grated window, but as I continues to walk towards the back of the tomb the candles on the walls started to light with every step I took.

(Y/N) knew I was here. She always knew. It was like she could sense me. I smiled to myself as I continued my way to the casket at the far end. But right before I reached it, there was a noise coming from the extended room.

"Hello?" I questioned out loud.

"Hello, Stefan." said the familiar voice of Emily Bennett as she walked out of the extension.

"Emily?" I questioned with confusion riddled in my voice. "How are you here?"

"The ancestors sent me back to help (Y/N) gain her power back when she wakes." She explained. The confusion that was already on my face sunk deeper into my expression before Emily continued. "The spell is about to wear off, Stefan. She's been asleep for 150 years here in a few days. (Y/N)'s powers will be weak."

"Weak? Emily, she's been able to get into my head for most of that time. Wouldn't they be as strong as ever?" I questioned as I finished making my way over to (Y/N/N)'s casket. It was always left open and inside she laid so peacefully in the same dress Emily and I had placed her in the night before that vampire round-up in 1864. It looked like someone had recently brushed her (Y/H/C) hair. Most likely Emily.

The Bennett girl nodded. "That's what I am to hope for if I'm being honest. Especially with her vampire-like qualities. But there is no way to be sure and the ancestors are far from convinced she will."

I placed a gentle hand on top of (Y/N)'s smaller one as I continued to look down at her. "When I heard that you had died I was quite worried that she would never wake up from this. She never let on otherwise."

The Bennett witch shot me a small smile. "My powers never passed with me. I transferred them to (Y/N) long before that ever came to pass. I was ready for it to happen and had spoken with her about it all. It would be another reason I'm in high hopes she won't be as weak as the ancestors have made it out she would be." She explained.

"Do they know that you transferred your power?" I asked as I pushed back a piece of (Y/N/N)'s hair out of her face.

"I would suspect so but in almost 150 years it was never to be a topic of discussion." The witch said.

"How long are you going to be here?"

Emily let out a sad but happy sigh. "They have only given me but a year to make sure she can gain her strength back and be able to handle her powers once again."

"So when will she wake up?" I questioned.

The Bennett witch then gave me a small smile as she looked upon her best friend's face. "In two days' time. You should be here."

I nodded and said, "I will be. And so will Damon."

"(Y/N) will enjoy that." She said with a smile.

I spent another hour or two speaking with Emily. There was a point where we stopped talking and I sat down to open my mind to speak to (Y/N). Mentally, she was preparing for the new world she was about to step into.
