𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻, 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗮

Hope was heading to the police station to get the report of her parent's wreck, she was finally ready to know what had happened to them. it took losing Hayden again to make her want it as she was avoiding it to spare her feelings but at this point, all she wanted was to feel something other than hurt and pain, she wanted to feel peace and grace even if that meant facing her demons.

"Can I see Luke?" Hope asked in a hopeful voice

"They aren't letting anyone see him," Hayden spoke from behind her

"Are you here for the same reason I am?" Hope questioned her twin

"Are you here to see the report?" Hayden asked in return making her nod

"Yeah, I'm sorry for not listening to you sooner," Hope spoke as she sat next to him

"It's okay, you needed to do things your own way before you were ready," Hayden added with a soft tone

"Things are falling apart, Luke might go to jail, Jocelyn is missing, and you left. This was not how this year was supposed to go," Hope spoke with tears

"Hey, it's okay, we'll figure it out," Hayden comforted her as he pulled her into a hug

"Is it though? Would you go back with me and stay because I need you? Will we ever have a normal life after this?" Hope asked looking at him

"I don't know but what I do know is that you'll never be alone as long as you have them," Hayden spoke making her shake her head

"That doesn't matter if I don't have you, my older brother," Hope added before a siren went off

They were ushered out with a crowd making them link hands so they didn't lose each other before looking around to see if they could find Luke but they couldn't they did see Clary and the others making them rush up to the group.

"What are you guys doing here?" Clary scolded as they walked up

"I came to see Luke but he's arrested for murder, thank you for telling me that by the way, and why are you here?" Hope asked looking at her

"We came for the cup," Jace added as Hayden narrowed his eyes

"As in THE cup?" Hayden questioned the man

"Guys, we don't have time for this, we have to figure out how to get the actual cup and possibly stop any demons that come," Alec remarked to the group

"Demons?" Hayden questioned in a loud manner

"Welcome to the shadow world," Hope spoke to her brother

"You two go find Luke and we'll hand everything to do with the Shadow World," Clary directed her best friends

Hope nodded her head before dragging Hayden along who was still confused about everything, they ran into Luke and Alec as they were looking around. Hope hugged Luke once she saw him before they all went to go find Clary to see if she was okay and to see what had happened.

"Clary!" Hayden shouted once they found her

"Get back! How do I know you're Luke?" Clary asked looking at the werewolf

"I got you spray paint for your birthday, what happened?" Luke asked before she nodded

"Uh, demons. It's a long story, where'd you come from?" Clary questioned the group

"Jail, I ran into Alec, Hope, and Hayden and they said you might be down here, thought you might need some help," Luke explained to the girl

"Apparently not. Looks like she took care of it," Alec remarked as he caught up

"Shouldn't we get going or something? More demons could be coming, right?" Hope questioned looking up at the man

"Oh, don't worry about it, I got the pack on the lookout so if there are any other demons, we'll take care of them," Luke explained to her before she smiled

"Look at you, leader of the pack," Hope spoke with a smile

"Well, you know, it has its perks, shall we?" Luke questioned before they nodded

"Yeah, right," Hayden whispered before they walked

"If we got the cup back then everything goes back to normal?" Hope wondered out loud

"I don't things could ever go back to normal for you four," Luke responded making her nod

"Great," Hayden mumbled under his breath

Hope sighed and wrapped her arm around Alec's as they headed back to the compound, Clary and Luke shared a look about the interaction but decided not to say anything since they knew that Alec would make some snide remark to them. Clary went to go see Jace to make sure he was okay as Hope went on up to her room as Luke and Hayden had already left.

"Can I come in?" Alec asked as her door was opened

"Sure, I was just stress organizing the end table," Hope explained with a chuckle

"I can see that," Alec joked returning the chuckle

"So, are we going to get Jocleyn back or just give it the Clave?" Hope asked in a soft tone

"I don't know if I'm being honest," Alec admitted making her nod

"In due time," Hope added causing him to sigh

"In due time," Alec agreed before she paused

"So, I was thinking that now that you guys have the cup then maybe I should go back to living with Hayden and Hope as we have officially cleaned the mess that we caused," Hope admitted making him nod

"You can stay for a few more days, you don't have to rush it," Alec told her making her sigh

"I know but I'm not a shadow hunter so I have no actual purpose being here," Hope reminded the boy

"Well, if you decide to leave, just know that we will miss you, Sunshine," Alec whispered looking at her before leaving

Hope shut her door after him and went back to cleaning and straightening up the room, she had no idea what she wanted to do. She loved it here with the group but she didn't belong there since she wasn't like them but she also knew that her life could never go back to normal if she left as Luke had said.
