Hope had stayed the night at the compound with Alec, she woke up to Alec peppering kisses on her face making her giggle and then open her eyes. She reached up and kissed him before he flipped them over so she was on top of him, she looked down at him with her hands on his chest. Just when they thought they had a moment to themselves, Jace knocked on the door and told them that they needed to meet.

"Azazel's attacks go as far south as the meat-packing district and then the trail goes cold," Alec explained to the girls

"It's no use just tracking the dead bodies and with his ability to dematerialize, he could be anywhere," Jace added in support

"Maybe we can help," Isabelle spoke as she walked in

"Izzy! We've been so worried about you," Clary spoke hugging the girl

"Where have you been?" Hope asked before pulling out of the hug

"Looking for Azazel and this is Sebastian Verlac, from the London Institute when the demon came after me, Sebastian saved my life," Izzy explained to the group

"Oh, I simply lent a hand," Sebastian downplayed the girl

"Sebastian's an expert on all things Azazel," Izzy added as Sebastian nodded

"When I studied abroad at the Paris Institute, I specialized in greater demons," Sebastian added in agreeance

"Thanks for saving my sister, I'm Alec," Alec introduced himself

"Yeah, thank you, I'm Jace," Jace added shaking his hand

"The great warrior in the flesh, your reputation precedes you, as does yours. You must be Clary, Valentine's daughter," Sebastian stated as Clary nodded

"Yeah, don't hold it against me," Clary joked with a chuckle

"Well, we don't choose our parents," Sebastian added as Jace sighed

"So tell us about Azazel and how do we take him down?" Jace asked shutting it down

"The only way to banish him is to puncture his demonic core in corporeal form, it's between the T and T vertebrae, but it's not that simple, the core is about the size of a pea," Sebastian explained before Hope nodded

"Oh, so the entry point's right below his sternum?" Hope asked crossing her arms

"If I can get close enough, I can kill him. You wouldn't have enough velocity, and even if you did, the defeat's only temporary, the nasty buggers always find a way to break out of their realm and come back," Sebastian continued to explain

"Thank you for the intel, we'll take it from here," Alec stated with a grumble

"If I can, I'd like to help," Sebastian offered to the lightwood

"We appreciate that but you don't have clearance to go on the mission, not this Institute," Alec remarked making them all look at him

"Alec, you can't be serious," Izzy scolded her brother

"Now, as far as tracking is concerned, we should really think about..." Sebastian trailed off before Alec cut him off

"We have a very capable warlock for that so you do what you want, I'm gonna work with Magnus," Alec stated before walking away

Hope and Clary shared a look at Alec's outburst, Hope wanted to follow after him but she knew that he was just worried about his sister and to see the someone else was there for her when he wasn't was screwing with him. Hope had went out with Simon and Isabelle, they was sitting in a both at the restaurant.

"Kung-Pao Special for the best anti-bullying expert ever but, you know," Simon joked as he sat down

"It's kind of hard to celebrate with this place looking like a ghost town," Isabelle commented in return

"How are things at the Institute?" Simon asked the girls

"Well, everyone's trying to recover, Alec is paranoid about pretty much everyone," Hope added in return

"Jace, you know, he's still spinning," Isabelle also added in agreement

"About the Soul Sword attack?" Simon questioned the blonde

"That, and finding out he's not really Valentine's son," Hope added before getting a drink

"Wait, that means that means Jace isn't Clary's brother," Simon stated as he was confused

"Simon, we thought you knew," Isabelle explained before Simon looked upset

"It would have been a lot easier to wait 'til nightfall to kill you but you come near my sister, you pay now," Rafael stated as he came up to them

"Back off, Raphael!" Hope yelled as she was being held

"You gave your friend some really bad advice, Isabelle, keep them back, Any last words?" Rafael asked the boy in front of him

"You're lucky your sister doesn't know who you are cause if she did, she'd hate you," Simon remarked with a smirk

"Say goodbye, Simon!" Rafael shouted showing his fangs

"Bring it on!" Simon shouted in return

"Hey!" Luke stated grabbing them along with the other wolves

"Anyone else want to take a shot?" Simon asked in the sun

"How can you do that?" A vampire asked looking at him

"He's a Daylighter," Rafael explained to the others

"Damn right I am," Simon remaried with smirk

"Let's go, I said let's go!" Rafael shouted before leaving

"That's what I'm talking about," Simon cheered before Luke scoffed

"Before you celebrate, remember, you might be a Daylighter, but you're not invincible, be careful, Simon," Luke scolded the boy

Luke came over to check on Hope who was still breathing heavy, Luke had taken her home so she could relax. Alec was sitting on her bed watching a movie with her as she snacked on popcorn, she felt content and at peace as she was being held in his arms.
