𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘆-𝗦𝗶𝘅, 𝗘𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗶

Hope was sitting on the couch when Alec came out of the bedroom, they still haven't had Jace back and she could tell that it was screwing with Alec. Hope had started to show a little bit which made the fact that they were having a baby a bit more real, they had thier four-week checkup this morning and it was Alec's first time seeing the baby.

"Ah, I see that Dad was able to get away from work," Hanna spoke as she came in

"Alec," Alec introduced holding out his hand

"I'm Hannah and you might just be able to hear its heartbeat," Hannah spoke making Hope smile

"We didn't get to hear that last time," Hope added looking at Alec

"Have you been taking those vitamins, I gave you?" Hannah asked the woman

"Yeah, every morning," Hope responded in return

"Okay, let's see you, baby," Hannah spoke picking up the gel

"Are we allowed to take pictures?" Alec asked the woman

"Hmm," Hannah hummed looking at the screen

"A good hmm or a bad hmm?" Hope asked in return

"Babies, congrats you're having twins," Hannah spoke showing the screen

"Twins?" Alec asked looking up at her

"Twins are genetic so seeing how you told me about your twin brother, we should've run more tests than we did but yep, two sacks," Hannah explained pointing them out

"So, fraternal?" Hope questioned with a smile

"Best of both worlds," Hannah commented to the couple

"A boy and a girl?" Alec questioned the woman again

"Oh, did you two not want the genders?" Hannah asked looking between them

"No, it didn't really matter if you told us but I think he's just in shock, as am I," Hope added with a chuckle

"I'll go get those pictures while you let that soak in," Hannah stated before walking out

"Twins," Alec whispered under his breath

Hope chuckled before grabbing one of his hands, Hannah came back in and handed them the pictures before they left, Hope stared at the pictures as they walked into the institute. They had decided not to tell everyone that they were having twins until they got everything settled. They had sent Simon to use his vamp hearing to see if Clary was still in lock-up, Alec was growing impatient for any news

"Simon's been in the building forever, what's taking him so long?" Alec asked the group

"Alec, it's a high rise," Hope convinced her boyfriend

"Sorry, I tried to get as close as I could without anyone noticing, but my vamp ears couldn't hear Clary inside anywhere," Simon spoke once he sped back in

"Lilith must be concealing her location with some kind of glamour," Alec stated to the group

"Let's find out," Izzy spoke with a smirk

"What does that one do?" Simon asked looking at a rune

"Spiritum, it allows us to see currents of supernatural energy, so, if we can't see the shark in the ocean," Alec explained to the boy

"You can still see the waves it makes, Lilith has portal wards on the perimeter and she's redirected ley lines to the top floor, I've never seen magic that strong," Izzy admitted to her brother

"With or without Magnus, we have to get Clary out of there," Alec stated shocking everyone at how concerned he is for Clary

"Look, Lilith's gonna throw everything she has at us, including Jace," Luke stated as he walked up

"For the record, I'd rather not vaporize Jace if he tries to kill me, but I can't control how this thing works, or the fact that he'll probably try to kill me during the fight," Simon ranted to the man

"That's a good point, I have another way you can be helpful," Alec stated tossing him a Stele

"What am I gonna do with a steely?" Simon questioned in return

"Stele," Alec corrected in an offended tone

"He's heard it both ways," Hope defended her friend

"Okay, here's what you're gonna do, you're gonna head back home and we'll call you once we get her to safety," Alec directed looking at the blonde

"Alec's right, you need to be home where we know you are safe," Luke stated walking up to her

"Clary is my sister and you cannot bench me," Hope scolded the men

"Hope, no one is benching you, we just want you to be safe," Hayden corrected her

"That sounds a lot like benching," Hope remarked to her brother

"Stop being so stubborn and go home," Luke stated grabbing her arms

"I don't like it you when go protective dad," Hope spoke to the man

"Hope, if anything happened to you or the babies then I wouldn't be able to live with myself," Alec whispered to her in a soft tone

"Stay safe, Think clearly, and Come home to me," Hope whispered before kissing his cheek

Hope headed home since she was getting tired, Luke had come back with a solemn look on his face before Hayden and Simon walked in behind him making her give a confused look to the three boys, they gave her a knowing look before she started crying because she knew what those looks meant.
