𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘆-𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗼𝘀𝗶

Hope ran in with Hayden and Simon as they had heard that they were back with Clary, Hope couldn't believe that Clary was alive and okay until she was hugging the redhead. She was finally able to get ahold of the boys shortly after Luke and the others had left to get her back.

"Clary!" Hope shouted to her sister

"Hi," Simon whispered as he saw her

"Hi," Clary whispered in response

"Are we dreaming?" Hayden asked with a chuckle

"No," Clary responded with a chuckle

"We're not?" Simon asked with a chuckle

"Hi," Clary greeted looking at Izzy

"Hi, tell me where Jonathan is, I'm gonna kill that son of a bitch with my bare hands," Izzy remarked making them chuckle

"You can't, none of us can," Jace stated making them confused

"Why?" Simon questioned the redhead

"Lilith carved this rune into me, right before your mark blasted her back to Hell," Clary explained to her friends

"The rune ties Clary's life force to Jonathan's," Alec explained to the group

"Hurt one of them, you hurt the other in the exact same way," Luke added in support

"Which is why I sent an alert out to the other Institutes, Jonathan must be captured alive," Alec stated pulling up maps

"He was looking for a sword when he was in Paris, The Morning Star, If we can find it first, maybe we can track down Jonathan," Clary admitted looking between them

"Another magic sword?" Hope questioned the girl beside her

"He said it was some sort of family heirloom," Clary explained in confusion

"I'll reach out to all the weapon masters to get intel," Izzy stated to the group

"I'll draw all the ley line junctions in the city, if Jonathan moved the apartment, we'll find him," Magnus spoke in comfort

"Thank you, all of you, I honestly don't know what I would do without you," Clary spoke with hope in her voice

"That's what family's for, Fray," Simon whispered to her

"All right, let's get to work," Alec directed with a sigh

Hope smiled before hugging Hope one last time before heading off to get something to snack on, she wasn't much of a snacker but since she had become pregnant. She was very grateful that Clary was back and alive since the whole family was falling apart without her, she wanted to help Jace and Clary the most she could since she felt useless at the moment.

"Paradise Lost," Clary spoke as she saw the book

"This edition was illustrated by a special sect of the Silent Brothers, Seers, Valentine made me memorize it. He was obsessed with Lucifer's war on Heaven, and his clash with his brother, the Archangel Michael," Jace explained to the girls

"Jace, Michael, and Lucifer weren't just siblings," Hope pointed out to the picture

"They were connected just like me and Jonathan, in this one, the rune is gone," Clary added in support

"Michael vanquished Lucifer, he must have found some way to separate himself," Jace guessed looking between them

"That means there is a way and we just have to find it," Clary spoke before she started moaning in pain

"Clary, what's going on?" Jace asked watching her

"What's wrong?" Hope asked looking at her sister

"What's happening?" Jace asked the redhead

"It must be Jonathan," Clary spoke in between breaths

"He's burning himself, it's stopped," Jace spoke as he activated her healing run

"Yeah, for now, I have to get this thing off of me," Clary stated looking at the two

"It's too dangerous and we still don't know what..." Hope started to trail off

"I don't care. I will carve it out myself if I have to, I am getting this thing off of me, now," Clary scolded the blondes

"It's gonna be painful, are you sure you're ready for that?" Jace questioned his girlfriend

"The more it hurts me, the more it hurts Jonathan, bring it," Clary scolded before he started

"Hey, Clary," Hope whispered to her sister

"It's okay, I'm okay. Is it gone? Is it gone? No," Clary whined with urgency

"We'll figure it out," Hope comforted her sister

Hope went to get Clary some water to help calm her down and ease some of the pain, Hope decided to call it a night since Clary told her to go home and get some rest. Alec had come home to see her asleep in thier bed, he kissed her forehead and then her stomach before laying down and falling asleep himself.
