𝗦𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 | 𝗔. 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱

𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘆-𝗧𝘄𝗼, 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻

Hope was cleaning up her house since she was stressed about school, Alec had gotten out of the shower before going and seeing why she was being so loud. He smiled as he saw her cleaning with her earbuds in, she took them out once she had seen him standing in the doorway of thier bedroom and living room.

"Is everything okay?" Alec asked as he walked in

"Yeah, everything is great, I'm just tidying up a bit," Hope responded with a smile e

"Is that one of my shirts?" Alec asked with a smirk

"Yeah, is that okay?" Hope asked with caution

"No, it's okay, It's just I was thinking that it wouldn't be an issue if I didn't have to go back and forth so much, I mean I spend almost every night here so what if I moved in? Bad idea?" Alec asked once he saw her face

"No! It's a wonderful idea, for the future," Hope admitted when she saw him face

"You know, I just thought," Alec spoke with hurt lacing his voice

"We've been seeing each other for less than five months, Alec, once we move in together, our relationship will change," Hope explained in a soft tone

"Yeah, we'll be even closer," Alec joked with a chuckle

"There's no such thing, if there's one thing I've learned in life is that it's to take your time, okay?" Hope suggested to the boy

"Speaking of time, I gotta go since I'm already late for a house call, I'll talk to you tonight?" Alec questioned grabbing his coat

"Yeah, Stay safe, think clearly," Hope spoke giving him a kiss

"I love you," Alec spoke before leaving

Hope felt bad about how she responded to the suggestion so she started to sort out her closet so she could make some space for his clothes that he could leave there for when he stays. Moving in together scared her because what if they broke up or what if they just fell out of love? Jace had called and told her about what had happened so she went to help him convince Simon to move back in until they knew he was safe.

"Whoa!" Simon cheered before he saw Jace

"I'm just trying to help the homeless," Jace joked with the vampire

"Very funny, now, leave me alone and I'm keeping this by the way," Simon scolded the blonde

"Are you seriously gonna live in your van?" Hope asked with concern

"I don't know but at least my van is not going to spy on me while I sleep, I'll find another place. I just don't wanna be a prisoner of the Wolves Templar," Simon explained some more

"I think that's a bit extreme," Jace commented with an eye roll

"Are you lying to me?" Simon asked with a scoff

"I don't agree with his tactics," Jace admitted in return

"Kyle did apologize to you, I understand the situation isn't perfect but if someone's offering you help you take it," Hope spoke looking at her best friend

"Okay but I'm only doing it for you," Simon agreed pointing at his best friend

Hope had gone to watch Simon play at the bar seeing how he got his spot back, Hayden was working tonight which gave Hope someone to talk to as Simon was busy with other things. She still had Alec and his suggestion on her mind, she saw his heart shatter at her words and it made her want to die.

"Hey, are you okay?" Hayden asked as he saw his sister's face

"Alec wanted to move in but I turned him down because I was scared," Hope admitted to her brother

"Are you scared of moving forward or are you scared of all the change?" Hayden suggested making her sigh

"Hayden, we have so much bad history in the love department," Hope admitted as her voice cracked

"Nobody is perfect, especially when it comes to love. Mom and Dad had problems, Jocelyn and Luke had problems even you and Alec have problems but you don't let that stop you from being together," Hayden spoke making her nod

"What if we wake up one day and realize that we are two different," Hope suggested to her twin

"If that day ever comes then you will be okay," Hayden stated before she nodded

Hope nodded her head before heading home, Alec was sitting on the couch when she walked in. She hung up her jacket and then went over to him so they could talk, she didn't know how ti start the conversation but she knew they had to talk.

"I was scared when you asked earlier," Hope admitted looking at him

"Why?" Alec asked while standing up

"Let's call it a lapse in judgment that has to do with my parents and everyone," Hope explained in return

"I didn't mean to make you feel like we were rushing," Alec added as she shook her head

"You can't move in but you can bring some of your clothes here, baby steps," Hope suggested making him smile

"Baby steps," Alec agreed as he hugged her

"How is Jace doing by the way?" Hope questioned while pulling away

"He's decided to get treatment," Alec informed his girlfriend

"Well, you tell him that he's got all my support," Hope stated making him nod

"I love you," Alec whispered before kissing her

Once they pulled away she told him she loved him before going to get a shower before making dinner, Alec had gone back and got some of his clothes so he could leave there. He was okay with the compromise since that meant that she was just as serious about them as he was.
