They had found the real Sebastian Verlac, which Jonathan was posing as to get close to everyone and Clary. Alec was hosting an emergency meeting to discuss what was going on since the last time he wasn't honest it cost them a lot and thier offer was declined. Hope was standing in the hallway the group and Hayden

"I'd say let us know what you find out but you're not allowed to do that anymore, are you?" Alec asked the alpha

"I'm sorry it had to be like this," Luke spoke in a soft tone

"Well, as long as one side catches them, that's all that matters, right?" Alec questioned in return

"Luke, wait! Why are you doing this? You and I both know the Seelie Queen doesn't have your best interests at heart," Clary scolded the man

"To be honest, I don't think she has a heart, I gotta think of my pack, her court can protect us from anything that Valentine and his son can throw at us," Luke explained to the girls

"The Institute can't," Hayden added in support

"No matter what, don't let either of them leave the city," Clary stated as they all hugged

"Me and my wolves will die trying," Luke stated hugging the girls back

"Please don't," Hope spoke in a soft tone

Hope went with Clary to convince Simon to talk to the Seelie Queen on the institute's behalf, Hope knew that Simon was the only one who could convince her to do so. Clary and Simon hadn't talked since everything that had happened and Hope knew it was going to be awkward when they saw each other.

"Simon, we need to talk," Clary spoke as the girls walked up to him

"So, you and Maia, huh?" Hope asked with a smirk

"Yeah, I guess it kind of just happened," Simon admitted in a shy tone

"If it makes you happy, then that's totally okay, I miss you," Clary admitted before they stopped walking

"I miss you, too but take it from someone who knows all of your looks, this is not just checking in with my best friend so what's wrong?" Simon asked the redhead

"Given everything that you and I have been through, I know that asking you for a favor right now might be a little awkward..." Clary trailed off in thought

"Derek Russel's seventh birthday party, you sat in chocolate ice cream and were afraid people might think..." Simon spoke making them chuckle

"Yeah, you switched pants with her so that nobody would notice," Hope spoke with a chuckle

"And I was never invited to another one of his birthday parties ever again. That's awkward, this is us and you know I always have your back, Fray and there's no job that's too big," Simon spoke making Hope nod

"We need you to talk to the Seelie Queen," Hope stated to her best friend

"That job's too big," Simon stated making Hope chuckle

"Hey! Luke talked to you about what happened at the Downworld Council meeting, right? Look, if the Clave goes to war with the Downworld, everything that we know and love will be destroyed and, you, Simon Lewis, are the one person on the planet who even has a chance of getting the Seelie Queen to change her mind and work with us," Clary explained to the vampire

"And how do you know this for sure?" Simon asked his best friends

"She asked about you," Hope spoke in a whisper

"Me? At the meeting for the fate of the whole world? Oh boy," " Simon spoke in a whisper

"She'll at least hear you out," Clary added in support

"Atta boy," Hope cheered to her best friend

Simon nodded his head before they all walked off, Hope said her goodbyes before heading back to her apartment to start studying some more for her tests coming up. She was in her second year of school since she took a couple of classes during her senior year of high school. She had heard back from Clary that they had caught and killed Jonathan which made her glad to know that it was partly over.
