𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘆-𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻, 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗹𝘀

Hope was sitting in her bedroom looking at all the pictures she took of Clary, her, Hayden, and Simon, she managed to lose her sister and best friend all in one night and she wasn't even there to say goodbye. Alec came and sat down next to her on the bed, she looked over at him as she wiped the tears from her eyes,

"We don't even get to bury a body," Hope mumbled in sadness

"It's okay, we'll think of something," Alec told her as she stood up

"I don't know how people do this every day," Hope mumbled as she fixed her mascara

"You're beautiful the way you are," Alec commented as he came up behind her

"Thank you but it's not about beauty," Hope stated before there was a knock

"Are you expecting someone?" Alec asked confused

"I almost forgot," Hope added as she opened the door

"Hope!" Madzie cheered running to the blonde

"Sweet Pea!" Hope cheered, picking up the little girl

"Thank you so much for letting her stay with you especially considering all you're going through," Catarina spoke as she walked in

"Oh, don't be silly. It is my pleasure," Hope corrected the woman

"Hey!" Alec shouted getting the girls attention

"Hey! Alec's here!" Madzie cheered as she ran to him

"Hi, Catarina," Alec greeted the woman

"Look who we have as a house guest while Catarina's off to a nursing convention," Hope explained to her boyfriend

"You haven't seen anything 'til you've seen drunk RNs bitching about doctors,"

"How about when I get home from work today, we're gonna play Sharks and Minnows? Yeah? All right, come on," Alec exclaimed before walking off

"He's gonna be a good dad," Catarina spoke as they watched Alec

"Yeah, he is," Hope mumbled to herself

Hope walked Catarina out before saying goodbye, Alec was playing with Madzie as Hope made them all breakfast. They later put Madzie down for her nap, Alec had come back after work. Alec had gone in for a kiss making her back up and causing him to have a hurt look on his face

"What?" Alec asked in a soft

"She's right behind the door," Hope whispered to her boyfriend

"So I can't kiss my girlfriend?" Alec asked in return

"Oh, you know how we get, how about we watch a movie? I've been meaning to introduce you to the work of Dylan O'Brien," Hope stated as they moved to the couch

"Who?" Alec asked making her give him a look

"Oh, you are so uncultured," Hope mumbled in return

"Nana! Nana, no!" Madzie shouted out making them run into the bedroom

"It's okay, honey. Nana's here to take you home," Iris stated as she in a portal

"Iris!" Hope shouted at the woman

"Get away from her!" Alec shouted shooting an arrow

"It's okay, Sweet Pea, you're safe now," Hope whispered as she hugged Madzie

Alec and Hope had gone to the institute to inform everyone of what had happened back at the apartment.

"Iris raised Madzie since she was a newborn, she's not going to stop until she gets her back," Alec stated to the group

"How was she even able to get past Magnus's wards?" Hope asked with concern

"When Magnus lost his powers, his wards did too," Jace informed the blonde

"Madzie's back with Catarina. She's portalling her to the High Warlock of Estonia's castle outside of Koluvere, his wards should keep Iris out," Magnus informed as he came up to them

"Well, they can't stay in Estonia forever," Izzy added in support

"Which is why we need to find Iris," Alec added as well

"Well, she's most likely still in the city, we should act fast," Hope remarked giving a look

"Magnus, Hope, we have this covered, all right? Iris is extremely dangerous. She's already escaped the Gard, and she's more than willing to kill for Madzie," Alec stated to his girlfriend

"So are we," Hope defended her words

"Powers or no powers, I need to be a part of this, I know Iris and I know how she thinks, okay, we can start with a sweep around her brownstone, she's lived there for over a century," Magnus explained before they all walked away

Everything had worked out which helped Hope relieve a lot of stress she was holding in, Alec and she had gone back to the apartment to relax after a very long day. Hope had made Alec watch Teen Wolf with her since he had no clue what it was and it offended her since it was her favorite show.
