𝗙𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘆-𝗦𝗶𝘅, 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀

Alec had planned for them to have a date night since he decided to take Luke's advice about it, Alec was leading her before she paused and uncovered her eyes to see them in an alleyway. Hope had gotten dressed up for the date even though he told her that she didn't need to,

"Where are we going?" Hope asked with concern

"I told you, it's a surprise," Alec reminded as he rolled his eyes

"I don't like surprises," Hope stated causing him to scoff

"What do you mean? You used to love them," Alec spoke in shock

"You know, you start waving your hands around, I never know what's gonna show up in front of me," Hope remarked to the shadowhunter

"There's something, I wanted to do," Alec added pulling out a lock

"Oh, you want to lock me up? I thought you'd never ask," Hope joked with her boyfriend

"No, remember that bridge Magnus brought us to in Paris last week, the one where people put those locks?" Alec questioned with a chuckle

"To show their eternal love," Hope spoke with a soft smile

"Right, well, they have a place like that here in New York too, I know it's silly but I wanted us to have a lock too," Alec admitted handing it to her

"I love you," Hope spoke going to lock it

"I love you too," Alec spoke before she turned back around

"Alec, what are you doing?" Hope asked as he was down on his knee

"I know that I am supposed to be making a big speech but Hope Noelle Blakely, will you marry me?" Alec asked as tears ran down her face

"Wait, you're not joking, are you?" Hope questioned making him chuckle

"Nope, I mean it," Alec stated as she pulled him up and kissed him

"Yeah, I'll marry you," Hope responded between kisses

"Good because I already got Luke and Hayden's permission," Alec stated making her pause

"What, how did you get Hayden's?" Hope asked with worry

"That day we had breakfast with Luke, I went over to Hayden's apartment to ask," Alec explained in return

"I love you," Hope stated before kissing him again

They kissed before heading out for dinner as they had gone thier first, Hope couldn't get over how pretty the ring was but she loved it more because of what it meant to the family. Alec had been called to work which made her start to worry more about Clary as that meant that they had found something out. Simon and Hope had agreed that them going and getting Clary was their best shot.

"Clary!" Hope shouted getting her atteione

"Stop!" Simon shouted at the red head

"Simon? Hope? Cheap shot, bringing my best friends," Clary remarked to the Lighwood

"It wasn't part of the plan.

"Super-villain is not a good look on you, Fray! Trust me!" Simon stated trying to convince him

"This is who I am," Clary stated as Hope rolled eyes

"You and I both know that's not true," Hope stated to her sister

"Stand down, or this kindjal finds its way into Simon and Hope," Clary warned the shadowhunter

"If you do that, Clary, that's a choice you're making," Simon stated as well

"A choice you're gonna have to live with every day for the rest of your life," Hope added in support

"Jonathan needs me!" Clary stated before Jace stabbed her

"You're gonna be okay, are you back?" Jace asked as he looked at her

"Simon, Hope, I told you to stay out of this, you could have been killed," Izzy scolded the two

"Well, we're not a Shadowhunter, so I guess we don't have to listen," Simon stated to the Lightwood girl

"Hope, Simon, get down!" Izzy stated before pushing them

"Izzy?" Simon mumbled once everything calmed down

"Iz? She got hit by shrapnel," Hope called out to the two

"Izzy! Izzy!" Clary called out rushing up

"Just get her up with me," Jace directed to the others

They had all gone home, Izzy was going to be okay which made Hope and Simon feel so much better. Alec wasn't happy about Hope and Simon's choice to come but he understood why they did it, family meant everything to them and he knew that. Alec had come home to see Hope relaxing in the bathtub which made him bring her something to snack on.
