𝗧𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘆-𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗕𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝘄𝗻

Clary had called and said that Dot was alive and they had her at Magnus', Hope, Hayden and Luke rushed over to the apartment. Hope was never close to Dot by any means but she was relieved that the woman was safe and okay.

"There you go, you'll start feeling better in no time," Magnus spoke handing her a tea

"Thank you," Dot spoke as she took it

"Dot, tell us everything you know," Clary spoke looking at the woman

"I heard Valentine briefing his men that if Jace touches the sword, his grip will destroy it," Dot started to explain

"Me?" Jace asked in shock

"Why should we believe a word she says? It's probably just another trap," Luke suggested in return

"Luke, Clary, you know me," Dot pleaded with them

"You've lied to me before," Clary defended the werewolf

"Because of the injections but now that he has the warlock girl, he's cast me aside. I'm myself again," Dot added in defense

"Good story, but I've heard better," Luke commented with a sigh

"Wait, in the vision from Ithuriel, the demon that destroyed the sword had a clawed hand," Jace added in reminder

"Exactly, it has nothing to do with you," Clary scolded the shadowhunter

"Perhaps I can lend some insight, show me this vision, The star in the sky," Magnus spoke as he pulled away

"Yeah, I remember," Clary stated to the warlock

"Angels are higher beings. They communicate through metaphors. Morgenstern means "Morning Star," as in, "How are thou fallen from heaven, O, Lucifer, son of the morning. The vision seems to be speaking of a demonic Morgenstern," Magnus explained looking over at Jace

"Me, That's why Valentine wanted me under his control, I can derail his plan, I can destroy the Soul Sword," Jace convinced in a soft tone

"And destroy yourself in the process," Hope pointed out to the shadowhunter

"No, that's a suicide mission, no way," Clary stated to him

"Oh, says the girl who was willing to die for the Downworld, what, yesterday?" Jace remarked to his sister

"She's right, Jace. It's too dangerous," Luke agreed with his adoptive daughters

"I'm not gonna touch the sword, I'll just get to it before it's activated, and bring the Mortal Instrument back to the Clave, where it belongs. Trust me," Jace convinced some more

Luke and Jace headed back to the compound leaving the girls there with Magnus, Hope, and Clary was starting to get worried about Simon and if he was okay or not. They managed to convince Magnus to portal them to the institute since Valentine had cut Simon's neck.

"Magnus, I want you to know I'm not going anywhere near that sword," Clary stated to the warlock

"I don't care what happens to me, Clary," Magnus admitted to the girls

"Alec's gonna be okay, Simon's gonna be okay and we can do this. You, me, and Clary," Hope stated before Vampire sped to them

"Let go of my hands!" Magnus shouted at the vampire

"So you can use your magic against us? I'm sorry, Magnus, none of us wanted it to come to this," Rafael stated to the struggling warlock

"No, I'm here to save Simon. I'm not going to touch the sword," Clary admitted to him

"No, you're not, If I don't do it, more Downworlders are on their way to do it for me, You're too close to her, Magnus," Rafael stated as he grabbed Clary

"Raphael, you don't have to do this," Hope pleaded with him as she was being held

"Quick and painless," Rafael stated showing his fangs

"This ends now," Jace stated holding his blade to the vampire

"Listen up!" Luke shouted at the group

"You better be right about this, Luke," Maia stated to the alpha

"Clary may be able to activate the sword, but I can destroy it, the angel Ithuriel confirmed that in a vision," Jace explained before Rafael scoffed

"Angel? Impossible," Rafael called the bluff

"I saw it, too. He's telling the truth," Clary added in support

"You kill Clary, Valentine still has the damn sword and over time, no doubt, he'll find a way to activate it. Now is our chance to destroy that sword for good so why not let Jace try?" Luke suggested to the vampire

"Why would a Shadowhunter risk his life for us?" Maia asked in return

"Because you and Raphael are gonna tell your Downworld buddies not to lay a hand on Clary, that's the deal," Jace stated with a smirk

"And they'll listen to me?" Rafael remarked to the shadowhunter

"Maybe, you're the leader of the most powerful vampire clan in all of New York and they respect you," Jace warned coming closer

"What exactly is your plan?" Rafael asked in return

Jace and Luke went over the plan, Hope stated right then and there that she was helping no matter what. Jace had given her a seraph blade to fight with before giving her a crash course on how to use it. Magnus and Hope saw Madzie as Clary broke off to go find Jace and Simon, Hope's heart broke at the sight of them using her for her magic and abilities.

"That's the little girl for Iris' office," Hope explained to the warlock

"Hello, sweet pea, I'm Magnus and this is Hope," Magnus spoke as they walked in slowly

"I know you're scared and you don't have to be," Hope agreed as she wore a soft smile

"See? I'm just like you, Madzie. I'm a warlock, too and these men are using you for your abilities," Magnus explained to the little girl

"He said Nana was here," Madzie spoke in a soft and quiet voice

"He lied and we wanna help you, Madzie, for real," Hope stated holding her hand out

"Why don't we take her outside," Magnus suggested to her

Hope picked Madzie up before they took her outside with the rest of the others, they didn't know what was going on but when she saw everyone leaving the building safely she felt a massive weight fall off her chest.

"Hope, I thought..." Alec trailed off as he walked up to her

"Magnus and I found Madzie and we got her out just in time, he took her to Catarina's so she's safe," Hope explained to her boyfriend

"Hope, on every mission I've ever been on, I've never felt that type of fear, ever, not knowing if you were alive or dead. I was terrified," Alec rambled as she nodded along

"So was I," Hope agreed with a soft smile

"Hope, I love you," Alec admitted with a worried breath

"I love you, too," Hope stated before they kissed

Hope wrapped her arms around his neck as they kissed, she loved him. They pulled away when they saw the pack and thier friends waiting for them, Hope walked over to the group. She hugged Hayden and Luke before hugging Izzy and Clary.
