𝗧𝘄𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲, 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗰

It was a day before Alec and Lydia's wedding and Hope was avoiding going to it since she didn't feel like watching the guy she loved get married to someone else. They had gotten Jacyln back so she was focusing on helping Clary wake her up. Hope was sitting down next to Hayden as they watched Jocelyn asleep.

"She looks so peaceful now," Hope commented looking at the sleeping woman

"I just wish I knew how to reach her," Clary admitted with a sigh

"She's gonna be fine," Hayden added in support

"I'm sorry, Clary, we should have told you everything before this got..." Luke trailed off before Clary shook her head

"Luke, we can hash all that out when we wake Mom up but the important thing now is that we have her back," Clary stated shutting down his doubt

"I'm looking for Lydia so have you seen her? I don't mean to interrupt your..." Alec started as he walked in

"No, stay for a minute," Clary spoke to the boy

"I gotta get back to the station, call me if anything changes?" Luke asked the teens before walking out

"So, how is she?" Alec asked stepping closer

"The same, I guess," Hope explained with a sigh

"Alec, I know you, and I don't always see eye to eye on things..." Clary started before he stopped her

"Actually, we never see eye to eye on anything, but I do want to thank you for everything you've done to get my mom back so I should thank you, I don't know what would have happened to Isabelle after the trial if you hadn't returned the Cup. You saved my sister, so thank you," Alec spoke making them surprised

"Yeah, my whole world turned upside down, but, um, you and I thanking each other that's too much," Clary joked with a chuckle

"Magnus needs to speak with me, He might have some information about how to wake your mother up or how to stop Valentine. It's important," Alec stated before walking out

"So how long are you going to be avoiding Alec?" Hayden asked as Alec walked away

"I'm not avoiding him," Hope stated before Clary rolled her eyes

"Then why aren't you there talking to him or Izzy?" Clary questioned looking at her

"Because I'm here to help you wake up Jocelyn," Hope remarked looking up at the man

"You can't run from your feelings," Hayden told his sister who sighed

"I'm not but I am going to run from this coming lecture," Hope explained before they shared a look

"He's getting married and that is going to happen if you don't say something," Clary spoke making her nod

"I will think about it," Hope added before walking away

Hope sighed then went up to her room to finish packing up as she wanted and needed to move out of the compound, as she was getting ready to leave she went to go greet Magnus as she thought that the man was like another brother when Lydia and Alec walked up to the group making Magnus give her thumbs up in support.

"Magnus, Hope, and Hayden, I didn't know you were here," Lydia spoke before Magnus sighed

"That was the point," Magnus remarked to the blonde

"We're just on our way to greet a few representatives of the Clave who arrived early for tomorrow's wedding so how long are you two staying?" Lydia asked looking between the two

"Oh, I was just coming to get the rest of my stuff," Hope explained before Magnus pulled her back into him

"And now we're leaving," Hayden stated before Magnus shook his head

"What's going on here? Nobody told me about a meeting," Alec stated looking at the group

"Magnus figured out that Ragnor Fell is the warlock who can wake my mom so we're just bringing him back to the Institute," Clary explained to the shadow hunter

"How can I help?" Alec asked crossing his arms

"We're just recovering a warlock, Alec. We got this covered," Jace explained with a sigh

"Besides, you have emissaries from the Clave to meet," Magnus responded with a nod

"You don't want to tarnish your family's perfectly-crafted image now, do you?" Hayden scolded giving a glare

"Again, lovely seeing you, three," Lydia added before walking out

Hope and Hayden hugged Clary goodbye before heading out since she didn't want to be there any longer than she had to be. Hope thought it was Ironic of how a couple of weeks ago she didn't want to leave but now she was practically begging to leave. Hayden and Luke had helped Hope settle into her new room where she had fallen asleep after dinner. After Luke and Magnus convince her to come she finally caves in and opens the door everyone stares at her including Alec and Lydia.

"Izzy, did Alec invite Magnus and Hope?" Jace asked the girl beside him

"I did, but I didn't think they'd show," Izzy admitted to her brother

"Magnus, leave this wedding now," Maryse scolded the warlock

"Maryse, this is between her and your son, she'll leave if he asks her to," Magnus stated before looking at Hope

"I can't do this, I thought we were doing the right thing, but this isn't it," Alec spoke to Lydia

"You don't have to explain," Lydia added with a chuckle

"Lydia, I'm sorry," Alec stated once again

"Hey, you deserve to be happy, I'll be fine," Lydia stated before Alec walked away

"Alec, what are you doing?" Maryse questioned her son

"Enough," Alec scolded his mother as he walked up to Hope

"Hi," Hope greeted with a smile

"Magnus told me to make my choice so, here I am," Alec spoke before she rolled her eyes

"Just shut up and kiss me," Hope warned the shadowhunter

"Yes, sunshine," Alec spoke before leaning in

Alec leaned in and kissed her causing her to wrap her arms around his neck to pull him closer, once they pulled away they ran out of the room where they caught their breath before Alec had to answer to his parents. Hope went to go get changes out the dress she was wearing as he talked to her mother and father.
