"You should watch the fireworks."

He turned his back to her, pouting, before she sat down on the edge of the bed and stroked his head.

"I can watch the fireworks at the Hanabi."

She had to smile at his behavior.

"It's more important that you get better and I'm happy to look after you. After all, I want you to stay in bed."

Since he didn't answer, she got up from the edge of the bed.

"Good night, Sun."

But before she could take a single step, he hugged her from behind while burying his face in her hair, not knowing he already smiled at her scent.

"No one has taken care of me before."

"Thank you."

Suddenly he felt dizzy and wobbly on his feet, which is why she brought him into bed.
This time she didn't cover him up to his nose so that she could poke it.

"Don't thank me, dummy."

Outside was a bang that sounded close and when she looked out the window she could see cheerful colors and patterns that made her heart beat faster.

"You can watch it now, can't you?"

She called his attention.

She would never forget his sparkling eyes in the light of the fireworks and his bright smile like the sun.
He watched the spectacle like a little child watching it for the first time.

Suddenly he tried to stand up,
but couldn't because she stopped him.

"What's that?"

"I want to see it better."

She just shook his head, understandable to him that this wouldn't be a good idea with his sickly body.

"Oh please don't pull that face."

She laughed at the sight of him pouting as if the child wasn't getting what he wanted.

Then she remembered something.

She brought her little finger together with his.

"We'll watch the fireworks at the summer festival, I promise."

His eyes widened with joy when he heard that. Of course he was happy.
She wasn't the only one thrilled by these beautiful bright colors.

And perhaps he knew that he could only get excited about this spectacle because of her.

"No matter what?"

"No matter what."

He closed his eyes, ready to sleep more than happy at the thought of enjoying the summer festival with her.
