The words hung in the air, heavy and full of pain. Sunoo's eyes widened in shock, and he dropped his hand from her chin, taking a step back as if he had been struck. "What? Why?"

She felt tears welling up in her eyes, but she blinked them back, forcing herself to stay strong. She had to come up with something quickly, an excuse that would make him understand, at least on the surface.

Taking a deep breath, she tried to steady her trembling voice. "I don't know what love is. I don't know how to love you the way you deserve. You need someone who understands that, someone who can give you the kind of love you need."

Sunoo looked at her, his eyes filled with confusion and hurt. "That's not true. You've shown me love every day. You care about me, and that's all that matters."

She shook her head, still avoiding his gaze. "I don't even know what I'm doing. I don't know how to be in a relationship. I'm just... lost. You deserve someone who has it all figured out, someone who can give you the love you need without any doubts or fears."

He took a step closer, his voice desperate. "But we can figure it out together. Love isn't about having all the answers; it's about being there for each other, through everything. Please, don't push me away because of this."

Her heart ached at his words, knowing that he truly believed in them. But she had to stay firm. "You think that now, but eventually, you'll see that I'm right. I'm not the person you need, Sunoo. I'm just going to bring you down."

His eyes were filled with tears, his voice breaking. "Nabi, don't do this. I love you. I don't care about any of that. I just want to be with you."

"I'm sorry." The girl's own tears began to spill over, but she wiped them away quickly.

Sunoo's face twisted in anguish, his voice trembling with sadness. "You're lying. Why are you lying to me?"

She stammered, her voice breaking. "I'm not lying." She tried to step past him.

Before she could protest further, he wrapped his arms around her tiny body from behind, pulling her close. His embrace was firm yet gentle, his body warm against hers. He buried his face in her hair, breathing in the vanilla scent he loved so much. The familiarity of her scent brought him a fleeting moment of comfort amidst his pain.

Nabi froze, her breath hitching as she felt the warmth of his body against her back. Sunoo's embrace was both a solace and a torment, reminding her of everything she was about to lose. She felt his breath on her neck, warm and slightly uneven as he struggled with his emotions.

For him, holding her like this was a desperate attempt to hold onto something precious slipping through his fingers. The softness of her hair, the faint smell of vanilla, and the warmth of her body were all things he cherished deeply. The thought of losing them, of losing her, was unbearable.
