With a heavy sigh, Nabi turned the key in the lock and the click sounded in the empty corridor.
As the door closed behind her, she felt a sense of loneliness.

She felt like she was the only person in this world. As lonely as the poor little dogs that rested abandoned on the sides of the road with no one to help them.

Nabi knelt down to the puppy, who had just stuck his head into a small burger box in search of something to eat. She felt bad not being able to offer him anything, not being able to help him in his plight.

How could she?
She couldn't even afford anything herself.

When she said goodbye to him with a heavy heart, she saw a passer-by approaching the puppy with a bag. She quickly felt relieved when she saw him feeding him.

She thought about her apartment.
How long she would be able to pay for it. The hospital bills take all the money she earns at her job.

Nabi was on the verge of losing her livelihood. She didn't want to end up on the street, she wanted to be able to stay in her home.

Although she was used to living alone, the loneliness weighed heavily on her heart.
She missed her parents very much.
The laughter and warmth she could still feel back then.

Nabi had been on her own for a very long time. It had happened overnight. She couldn't prepare for it and therefore had to start on the path to independence at a young age.

It was very hard for her at first, as she had no idea what life was like.
A young girl should not be left to her own devices at such an early age.

As Nabi walked along the sidewalk and the streetlights cast a soft light, leading to her school, her heart felt heavy.

The school was right in front of her, its familiar silhouette conveying a sense of reluctance. How everything inside her resisted getting up every morning to go back to that hell.

As she approached the school building, it brought her memories of yesterday back to her mind.
She was already later than usual. She was usually one of the first to arrive at school, but it had been so long ago that she couldn't remember.

After changing her shoes, her path led her to her classroom, in front of which she saw the students who always tripped her up.
Every day anew.

Before she knew it, she landed on the floor while being laughed at by the students in her class.

One of the boys bent down to her height as he pulled her hair to make her look at him, but Nabi resisted with all her might because she didn't want to look this disgust in the eye.
