The sound of approaching footsteps made him freeze. His stomach dropped as Sunoo appeared in the doorway, holding a bag of snacks and a bright hoodie in his hands. The two locked eyes, and the air in the room grew heavy with tension.

"Jungwon," Sunoo said, his voice sharp and controlled. "What are you doing here?"

Jungwon straightened, his jaw tightening. "I came to check on Nabi," he replied, his voice steady.

Sunoo’s gaze flickered between him and Nabi, his expression unreadable. "You shouldn’t be here," he said firmly, stepping fully into the room and setting the bag down on the table. "She doesn’t need any more stress right now."

"Sunoo," Nabi said softly, her voice carrying a hint of warning. "It’s okay. He was just—"

"It’s not okay," Sunoo interrupted, his eyes still fixed on Jungwon. "He shouldn’t be here. Not after everything."

Jungwon’s fists clenched at his sides, but he held his ground. "I just wanted to make sure she was alright," he said evenly. "I didn’t mean to cause any trouble."

"Well, you’re causing trouble just by being here," Sunoo shot back, his voice cold. "So leave."

"Sunoo," Nabi said again, more firmly this time. She reached out, her hand brushing lightly against his arm. "Please. Don’t do this."

Her touch seemed to calm him slightly, and he exhaled sharply, his jaw still tight. "Fine," he muttered, glancing back at Jungwon. "But don’t think this changes anything."

Jungwon nodded stiffly, his gaze dropping to Nabi. "Take care of yourself," he said quietly before turning and walking out of the room, the tension in the air lingering long after he was gone.

As Jungwon left the room, the tension in the air didn’t dissipate. Nabi looked at Sunoo, her brow furrowed in confusion as she watched him. His jaw was tight, and his usually bright demeanor was clouded with something heavier—anger, frustration, and something she couldn’t quite place.

"Sunoo," she said softly, her voice breaking the silence. He looked up at her, his expression softening slightly at her concerned gaze. "What’s going on?"

"What do you mean?" he asked, trying to keep his tone light as he unpacked the bag, pulling out snacks and the hoodie he’d brought for her.

"Don’t do that," Nabi said, her voice firm despite her weakness. "Don’t brush it off. What just happened? Why did you and Jungwon look like you were ready to fight? And why did you tell him to leave?"

Sunoo hesitated, his hands stilling for a moment before he forced a small smile. "It’s nothing," he said, his tone gentle but evasive. "I just… don’t think he should be here right now. That’s all."
