Sunoo let out a soft laugh, shaking his head as he followed her to the couch, though he kept a respectful distance. "You’re really going to run away from me like that?" he teased, leaning on the armrest with an amused expression.
"I’m not running!" Nabi retorted, though her voice betrayed her nervousness. She busied herself with adjusting the blanket, avoiding his gaze. "I’m just… sitting."
"Sure you are," he replied with a knowing smirk, settling onto the opposite end of the couch. He propped his chin on his hand, watching her with that same playful glint in his eyes. "You know, you can’t avoid me forever, doll. I’m very patient."
She groaned softly, burying her face in the blanket for a moment. Despite her embarrassment, she couldn’t deny the warmth in her chest from the way he looked at her—as if she was the only thing that mattered to him in that moment.
Sunoo chuckled again, leaning back against the cushions. "I think you like me this way."
Nabi peeked at him from behind the blanket, her lips twitching into a small, reluctant smile. "You’re ridiculous," she said softly, but the affection in her tone didn’t go unnoticed.
"And you’re adorable," he replied easily, his voice carrying a warmth that made her blush all over again.
Sunoo leaned in, his playful grin never wavering as he placed his hands on either side of Nabi’s legs, effectively trapping her in place on the couch. Her heart raced as he moved closer, the warmth of his presence and the intensity of his gaze making her cheeks burn. His face was just a few centimeters from hers now, his teasing smirk almost daring her to react.
Her breath hitched as her mind raced. She was torn between the magnetic pull of his closeness and the overwhelming embarrassment bubbling up inside her. Sunoo tilted his head slightly, his voice low and flirtatious as he whispered, "Doll… you’re making it really hard for me not to kiss you right now."
Her eyes widened, and she felt her pulse quicken even more. She didn’t know how to respond, but her hands instinctively reached for something—anything—to break the tension. Her fingers landed on a nearby plate, and before she even realized what she was doing, she grabbed a strawberry and awkwardly shoved it into his mouth.
"There! Eat that!" she blurted out, her voice trembling with embarrassment as she avoided his gaze.
Sunoo froze for a moment, the unexpected taste of the strawberry catching him off guard. Then, to Nabi’s dismay, he started laughing, his shoulders shaking as he chewed the fruit. He leaned back slightly, giving her a bit more space, though his hands remained firmly planted on the couch.
"You really just… fed me a strawberry to stop me from kissing you?" he asked, his voice laced with amusement.
"I-I didn’t know what else to do!" she stammered, clutching the blanket tightly against her chest as her cheeks burned a deep crimson. "You were too close!"
