After leaving the cemetery together, Sunoo felt the darkness slowly engulf the day. Streetlights cast their glow on the path ahead, signaling the evening's end. With each step bringing them closer to the moment of farewell, a courage he didn't know he had began to grow within him.

"Uh, Nabi," he started, his voice slightly hesitant yet filled with an earnest warmth. "It's getting pretty late, and it's dark out. I was wondering... would you like to stay over at my place tonight? It's just... I don't want you to go home alone at this hour."

She stopped in her tracks, her heart skipping a beat at the suggestion. The thought of spending the whole night at a boy's house, Sunoo's house no less, sent a flurry of emotions through her. It would be a first for her, a step into an unknown that felt both exciting and nerve-wracking.

Her mind raced with potential excuses, each one a feeble attempt to navigate the tumult of her feelings. The prospect of spending uninterrupted time with him, away from the prying eyes of the world, was both thrilling and daunting.

"I... that's really kind of you, but I'm not sure," she finally managed to say, "I still have so many things to do... at home..."

It was an obvious lie, and they both knew it. Her voice trailed off, hinting at the real reason behind her hesitation. After a brief pause, she added, "And I don't even have any change of clothes with me..."

He listened, a patient smile on his face, understanding the depth of her anxiety yet determined to offer solutions that would ease her worries. "Don't worry about that. You can borrow some of my clothes. I promise they're clean and comfy!" he assured her, his tone light and encouraging.

He stood there, ready with a counter for every excuse she could possibly think of, his responses not just words but a testament to his care and consideration for her comfort.

Nabi looked at him, taken aback by his readiness to accommodate her, to make sure she felt safe and comfortable. It was clear he had thought this through, understanding the leap of faith it required on her part to accept his invitation.

"You seem to have an answer for everything," she mumbled. She couldn't help but smile, his earnestness breaking through her defenses, making the idea of staying over seem not just acceptable but genuinely appealing.

"Yeah, well, I just want you to feel at ease. No pressure, remember? It's all about making sure you're comfortable," he replied, his gaze soft.

The sincerity in his voice, the open honesty of his intentions, slowly chipped away at her reservations. Here was someone who cared, truly cared, about her feelings and her comfort. It was a rare and precious thing, and it warmed her heart, easing the turmoil of emotions swirling within her.
