Amid their laughter and the echoes of the storm, he broached a teasing question, his tone light but with a hint of curiosity. "Is there a girl out there who might be interested in me?" His eyes danced with mischief as he looked at her, pretending to ponder deeply.
Caught slightly off guard, she paused, searching his face as he seemed lost in thought. She then countered with her own curious question, "Do you have someone in mind?"
The corners of his mouth turned up into a wide, knowing smile, his eyes lighting up with a clear fondness as the image of the girl he hoped liked him back came to mind. It was a spontaneous reaction that didn't go unnoticed by her.
Seeing his expression, she could tell that he did indeed have someone special in mind, and his bright, affectionate smile made it clear.
As Sunoo maintained his smile, he playfully nudged the conversation back to her, "What about you? Any guy out there who might be lucky enough to catch your interest?" His tone was light, but his eyes held a warm intensity, genuinely curious about her response, yet also subtly revealing his hope that he might be the one she was interested in.
Her nonchalant shrug and silence only fueled his curiosity further. He leaned in closer, his eyes alight with playfulness and a touch of genuine interest, as he continued to probe gently. "I think this girl I like is really interested in me. What do you think?"
His words were lighthearted, but there was an undercurrent of hope in them, a subtle question hidden within the tease. He was not only trying to gauge her reaction for any signs of jealousy or discomfort but also playfully nudging her to think about the possibility of them together.
Nabi, caught in his gaze, felt a slight flutter in her chest. His direct approach and the soft intensity in his eyes made her heart race a little. After a moment's hesitation, she met his gaze with a playful yet thoughtful look. "Well, if she's got someone as charming as you interested in her, I'd say she's probably pretty smart too. She'd be silly not to be interested, right?"
Sunoo's smile broadened at her words, a warm flush of relief and happiness washing over him. Her playful yet affirming answer gave him a subtle hint that she might be talking about herself, even if she wasn't ready to say it directly.
"So, if hypothetically speaking, this guy-let's call him... Sunoo-were to think she's absolutely amazing and, maybe, hoped she felt the same way... do you think he should tell her?"
She carefully considered his hypothetical scenario, weighing her words before responding. "Do you have a good feeling about it?"
