Nabi's eyes slowly opened with difficulty. In the background, she heard the quiet ventilator, which seemed louder in the silence of the room.

She felt something warm on her hand, so she slowly turned her head to the side to find the boy who hadn't left the girl alone for a single minute. Neither had he let go of her hand during the entire time of his stay.

She had to giggle at the sight of the sleeping boy. The way he sat in the chair, his head with his arm on the back, looking rather uncomfortable for the girl.

She sat up, leaning her body a little closer to him with her hand shakily moving to his head.
When she felt his hand twitch, she flinched in shock, quickly took her hand back and sat back down in her previous position as the heat rose to her face.

Sunoo sat up slowly as he rubbed his eyes, which wasn't necessary because when he spotted Nabi awake, his eyes widened and his grip on her hand tightened.

"You're awake!"

She could hear the joy in his voice.

"No, I'm not."

She turned her still flushed face so that he could no longer look at her and pretended to be asleep.

Sunoo let go of her hand as his hands crept up to her face, cupped her cheeks and turned them in his direction.

"Your face.."

No, please don't say anything.

Don't say it.

Nabi felt ashamed that he noticed.

"Your face is all warm.. Are you okay? Should I call a doctor? Or do you need-"

She just shook her head, relieved that he thought it was because of her fever.

Sunoo's expression became emotionless as he looked at her. This petite girl was as fragile as glass.

"Nabi.."

"Huh?"
She smiled at him.

"May I ask you something?"

She nodded.

"What's wrong with your body? What's wrong with your health? Why do you have to go to the hospital so often? It's the second, no, or third time in such a short period of time.."

Nabi just swallowed as he tried to keep eye contact with her, which made her more nervous.

"A firefly flying by told me that tomorrow will be a good day."

She smiled as her hands tightened on the blanket.

You're sweet..

Even though he found her attempt to avoid his question sweet, he was dying to know what was wrong with her.
