As the heart monitor's beeping escalated abruptly, they snapped their attention back to Nabi. Her body started to shake subtly, a fine sheen of sweat appearing on her brow as her breathing grew erratic and shallow. Soft moans of distress escaped her lips, her face crinkling in discomfort, suggesting she was grappling with pain even in her sleep.

The sudden cacophony of the heart monitor filled the room with a sense of urgency, slicing through the previously heavy silence. Sunoo instinctively reached out, his hand trembling as he brushed away the sweat from her forehead with a gentle touch, trying to soothe her. Beside him, Jungwon stood frozen, his hand halted in mid-stroke through her hair, his expression a mix of concern and helplessness.

As the beeping intensified, panic set in. Their eyes widened in alarm, their bodies tense as they looked on helplessly.

"Please, you have to help her!" Sunoo called out, his voice laced with desperation. Almost instantly, several nurses and Dr. Min burst into the room, their expressions serious and focused.

"We need some space to work, please step outside," Dr. Min directed firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument. The urgency in the room escalated as the medical team swiftly maneuvered around the girl, checking the monitors and adjusting equipment.

Reluctantly, Sunoo and Jungwon stepped back, their hands lingering until the last possible second before they were gently ushered out of the room. Outside, the two of them paced back and forth in the hallway, exchanging anxious glances.

Sunoo paced the length of the sterile hospital corridor, his footsteps echoing his racing thoughts. Each step seemed to amplify his anxiety. Jungwon stood nearby, his arms crossed, his eyes frequently darting towards the closed door of the girl's room.

"Why is it taking so long? What if she's..." he couldn't finish his sentence, the possibilities too painful to voice.

Jungwon placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to offer some solace. "They're doing everything they can. She's strong, she'll pull through this," he said, though his voice lacked the conviction he was trying to convey.

Every so often, the sound of hurried footsteps or the distant ding of an elevator would cause both of them to look up, hopeful for any sign of Dr. Min or one of the nurses with updates. Minutes stretched into what felt like hours.

Finally, the door opened, and Dr. Min emerged, his expression unreadable. Sunoo and Jungwon immediately approached him, their faces etched with concern.

"How is she? Can we see her now?" Sunoo asked, his voice urgent, his body leaning forward slightly as if ready to sprint back into the room at a moment's notice.

Dr. Min sighed, adjusting his glasses. "She's stabilized now, but she's still very weak. You can see her briefly, but she needs rest."

Relief washed over both, though it was tempered with the gravity of the situation.
