I would never thought I would have a good time with my classmates. But I am really having a good time. A great one, actually.
Alex is so funny and sweet with me, always caring if I'm okay or cold or bored. His friends are awesome too, nice and sociable.
One of them, James, the funniest one, starts standing up and dancing in the middle of the restaurant, when Alex turns to me :
- I hope you don't regret coming, he says, all smile.
- No, not at all.
Actually, it has been a while since I felt this happy and safe. That's what a normal life with normal people looks like. I love it.
- You're pretty, he whispers, all of a sudden.
I give him a big smile.
- Thanks.
The way he's looking at me...I never felt that loved before. I don't love him the way I used to love Erin, but he's certainly able to give me way more love than him.
"You should not wait for him, Jo" : Aliya was right. Waiting for Erin to love me is a lost cause.
Who knows, maybe that in time I'll fall for Alex.
Maybe he's the one for me.
