5 days later , valentine's day
i get out of the car, walking to olivia's door. we decided to do presents after school. "hey, love," olivia wraps her arms around me. "happy valentine's day!" we both say at the same time. i finally asked olivia out four days ago when i took her on a dinner date. it was going really well. this was the first valentine's day together. of course, people still speculated olivia and i were together anyways."i left my math book in my locker," i tell olivia. "from yesterday?" olivia asks. "from yesterday," i look at her, "also, you look so good in pink, by the way." "aw, thank you," olivia grins, "you too, y/n! you look so cute." "thank you, liv," i smile, looking down at the lock and starting to put in the code.
olivia's pov
i look down at y/n's hands as she twists the lock as she puts in the lock combination. she swings open the locker, and i take a step back as a lot of pink and red letters fall out.y/n clears her throat, looking at me. but i keep my eyes on the letters. i kind of wish that sometimes y/n wasn't... y/n garcia in school. there were so many people who had the chance to make y/n the happiest girl in the world. but she chose me. i hope that i don't screw it up. i really hope i don't.
i close my eyes, smiling as y/n's lips press against mine. all my thoughts disappeared. y/n pulls away, giving me an sympathetic look. was it really that easy to read me?
"are any of these yours?" she asks me, smiling to try and lighten the mood. i smile, "no, but i do have an extra special letter for you waiting on my desk at home. a proper one. not just 'oh, y/n garcia! you're so hot, i wanna marry you'." y/n laughs, "i bet yours is exactly that." y/n bends down, and picks up the letters. i help her, and we both stand up. i look down at the pile of cards, seeing 'y/n garcia' written on it, and in the bottom left, it wrote 'from leah ambrose'.
i look at y/n, and she keeps her eyes on me. "what do you think she said?" i ask. "i don't know, and i won't know, because i'm gonna throw it out," she tells me. "is it bad that i wanna know?" i ask. "um... kind of. but you can open it if you want."
i hand the other five thousand letters to y/n, and she takes it as i open the letter. it was about half a page. i start to skim through it, reading it out loud, "dear, y/n. happy valentine's day... blah blah, i've always found myself attracted to you... you've always been such a good friend to me... if things don't work out with you and olivia, i'm always gonna be here?!" i look up at y/n, "what the heck, man?!"
y/n laughs, "i didn't write that!" "oh my god, i'm gonna kill her," i laugh. "but... who am i dating right now?" y/n asks, smiling as she furrows her eyebrows at me. "me," i laugh, pressing my lips against y/n's for a second as she hums.
y/n and i walk into physics, and y/n chuckles. "i like your pink tie, sir," she says. he looks up at her, smiling, "thanks, y/n. how's valentine's day going for you two?" sir smiles at me, and i keep a smile on my face. "pretty good," i say, "just saw... about ten thousand other people pour their hearts out to y/n on letters." "okay, we didn't read them yet," y/n laughs, "liv and i are gonna hang out after school." "how cute," sir says as we walk to the back row. "did you get your wife any flowers?" y/n asks. "yep. and my daughter," he says. "aww," y/n and i say at the same time. "that's cute, duke," y/n says, pulling out my chair for me, "i'm technically your daughter. do i get flowers, too?" "um... no, they ran out," sir jokes as i sit down, "high demand, remember? "that's a shame," y/n says, sitting beside me.
y/n's pov
i smile as i see olivia walking towards me. i lean off the car, walking to her. "we finally get to hang out!" she exclaims. "i know! do you want me to go to yours first?" i ask. "yeah, sure!"
