y/n and olivia walk to y/n's car, and olivia chuckles as y/n opens the passenger door for her. it felt like they were on a date.
"have you eaten?" y/n asks, starting the car up. "only breakfast," olivia says. "what'd you have?" y/n asks. "just oats and berries," olivia answers. "how healthy," y/n smiles. "i know. you?" olivia asks. "haven't eaten." "why?" olivia looks at her. "i don't know," y/n chuckles, "actually- i just had bread." "bread?" olivia asks, confused. "yeah. just bread. nothing on it," y/n answers, making olivia laugh. "that's so weird," olivia smiles at her. "it was good," y/n says, "don't judge." "not judging," olivia smiles.
olivia looks at y/n's hand that was placed on the gear stick, remembering that her hand was intertwined with hers. she smiles faintly, looking away. "what're you smiling at?" y/n notices, chuckling. "nothing," olivia smiles, shaking her head.
olivia sits across y/n at a cafe, looking through the menu. y/n glances at olivia, before looking at hers. olivia notices, smiling as she mocks y/n, "what're you looking at?" "just... you," y/n says. "me?" olivia asks, trying to contain her smile. "you look pretty," y/n shrugs it off, smiling in embarrassment as this was the first time she's complimented olivia in a way that didn't totally seem friend-ways.
olivia giggles, noticing y/n's cute awkwardness, "i look the same." "yeah, i know," y/n says. olivia smiles as she realizes what y/n's saying; that she looks pretty all the time. "thank you, y/n," olivia feels her cheeks heat up, "you look really pretty, too." y/n chuckles, looking away, "thank you."
"hey y/n?" olivia says, feeling the urge to get this off her chest. "yeah?" y/n looks up from her steak sandwich. "um... i didn't mean to refer to you as my sister that one tie," olivia says, "it was just because i'm really comfortable with you." y/n chuckles in relief, "that's good. i'm comfortable with you, too."
olivia laughs as y/n puts an arm around the back of her neck, pulling her closer as they walk out of the cafe. "thank you for paying," olivia says. "that's okay," y/n says, "full?" olivia looks at y/n, smiling as she nods. this was the warmth she felt in the dream.
y/n takes her arm off olivia after a few minutes as they walk to a park. olivia looks down, moving her hand towards y/n. she catches y/n's hand in hers, spreading her fingers to intertwine them into y/n's.
y/n looks down as she feels olivia hold her hand. she then looks up at olivia, and olivia looks at her. olivia smiles, and y/n lets out a nervous chuckle, looking forward again.
olivia and y/n find a nice spot on the field, facing the children's playground. they both let go of their hands. y/n lays down first, holding her upper body with her elbows and forearms so she could watch the kids play. olivia lays down too, and y/n smiles as olivia lays her head on y/n's chest, rest of body laying on the grass as she closes her eyes. y/n keeps her eyes on olivia, admiring how she glowed in the sunlight.
"are you tanning?" y/n asks olivia. olivia smiles, opening her eyes and looking at y/n, "might as well, right?" "yeah," y/n says, taking her cap off.
she places it on olivia's head, and olivia chuckles as y/n tilts it down so the sun wasn't on her face. "thank you," olivia says, "what about you?" "i'll be good," y/n says.
y/n looks down at her hand as she feels olivia's fingers touch it. she puts her palm up, and smiles as olivia intertwines their hands.
y/n points her phone at olivia, standing opposite her. she smiles behind her phone as olivia gives a wide grin to y/n.
olivia pulls y/n beside her, and they take a photo, olivia hugging y/n tightly as they both smile widely.
"ugh, it was so date-like," olivia smiles as she finishes telling her best friends on the phone what happened today, staring at the ceiling, "i wish i could relive it all." "ask her out, then!" conan exclaims. "no! that's too scary. i don't know if i'll ask her out unless it's, like, one hundred percent in the bag that she likes me," olivia says. "and what's the percent now?" iris asks. "maybe... like, forty," olivia says.
