y/n's pov
i sigh, looking in the mirror. "i don't get why you couldn't take someone else," i chuckle as i look at jess. "because no one else is free," jess says, "plus, don't you wanna see a world famous pop star sing her world famous songs in from of thousands?" "with the nine year olds singing about getting their heart broken and thinking about their grade three relationship that lasted a day?" i smile, making jess laugh. "come on, y/n! it's a concert. you'll have fun."

jess and i look down at the crowd that was in the pit as we lean against the railing. i look at the clear view of the empty stage, before looking at jess as she talks. "great choice tonight, right?" she grins, looking at the stage.

i watch olivia rodrigo take the stage as she performs her first song, the crowd cheering. "i know i should stop," she sings, the band stopping. i suppose that's where everyone's supposed to go quiet as olivia stops, scanning the crowd. everyone starts to scream and olivia continues to scan the crowd. i look at olivia, and see her looking at me.

i feel my heart stop for a second. maybe because she was a famous singer, but maybe because i'm starting to realize how attractive she was.

she looks away, starting to walk, "but i can't! and i told my friends i was asleep..." i look away, taking a small breath.

the songs fly by, and i can't help but notice that she was looking at me, more than three times at least. maybe i was being a little delusional. i didn't want to be delusional. i wasn't doing it intentionally. she's probably looking at everyone.

i watch her hand trail up her body as her next songs starts to be played by her band. her eyes find mine, and i watch her hand go to her bra, pushing it inward and sticking her tongue out. i chuckle as she scrunches her face, shaking her head and looking away, "i told my friends you were the one..."

"she kept looking up here," jess says as we walk out of the concert. "yeah, i know," i chuckle, "i feel like she was looking at me, but i don't wanna just assume." "did you record it? we can check it back!" jess exclaims at her idea. "no, i didn't record anything," i tell her. "are you serious? not one video?" "no- well, a video of you dancing, but apart from that, no," i answer.

i lay in bed, going into instagram. i look up olivia's name, looking through her posts.

the next day
"how are we?" scarlett smiles as i walk into the cafe's staff room. "tired," i say, "so tired." "well, you also got to meet olivia rodrigo, so," she shrugs. "see, not meet," i correct, "it was a good night." "i'm looking for the word 'amazing', 'out of this world', 'spectacular'," scarlett laughs.

olivia's pov
"hurry up, olivia," conan says, walking even faster. "oh my god, calm down! you'll get your coffee eventually," i say, jogging up to catch up to him.

we walk into a cafe, and i get the warm, home-y energy as i follow conan. we sit down, and i look at the menu.

i look up from the menu as i hear a voice, conan in the bathroom. "hey, how are you guys? are you ready to order?" she says. i look at the barista, recognizing her from last night.

i know it was obvious that i was looking at her the whole night, but it was pretty hard not to. i had wondered if i was ever gonna see her again, maybe at another one of the three shows i was doing in new york, but it didn't seem like she was there for me, but rather the girl beside her. every time i looked, her eyes were either on the crowd, or at me. mouth still closed every time, though.

judging by her slightly raised eyebrow as she seems to have notice me too. i glance at her name tag, looking back up at her. "nice show last night," y/n tells me, nonchalantly. "thanks," i say, sighing dramatically, "didn't look like you were enjoying it, though." she lets out a small scoff, "i... didn't go voluntarily," she says, "no offense, it was a good show. i just got dragged by my friend." "well, is your friend going to any of my other shows?" i ask. she shakes her head, "got bills to pay." i chuckle, nodding understandably, "i guess you aren't, either." "nope," she says, "also got bills to pay." "is your friend working? i wanna say hi," i tell her. "no, unfortunately," she smiles, "she's gonna kill me when she finds out i met you before she does." "do you want me to take a video?" i offer. "uh, yeah. why not," she says, reaching into her pocket. "what was her name again?" i ask. "jess," she says, handing her phone to me.
