a week later
y/n ignores the flashes of professional cameras in her face and yells as she walks into the grocery store. she takes a deep breath, seeing the store security keeping the paparazzi's out. by far, they were the most annoying thing about her identity being revealed. normally she would have her web shooters wrapped around her wrists, making it easy for y/n to get away from them. but sometimes she missed driving a car like a normal person.

holding a few bags full, y/n walks through the sliding grocery doors, getting swarmed by paparazzi once more. she listens to the comments they yell over the top of each other, the questions they ask, not daring to give them any satisfaction. sometimes she would, if she was in a playful mood. just not today.

"y/n! how're you dealing with the break-up?!" "what're you up to today? how was your day?!" "have you seen olivia rodrigo and louis partridge?!" "what are your thoughts on olivia and louis?!" "are you and olivia on good terms?!" "what are your plans today?!"

y/n moves the grocery bags into one hand, not risking the time to put them into the trunk. she opens her car door, shutting herself in the car. the noise drowns out a little, but she could still hear them really well. she places the groceries in the passenger seat and the floor of it, before starting up her car and driving off.

she glances at the suits in the armory display, deciding which one she should pick out. she was so addicted to making new suits, someone should probably tell her to stop. y/n takes off her clothes, putting on the classic red and black suit.

olivia takes a bite of her chicken wrap, opposite iris. she glances onto the busy street beside her as she chews, swallowing and looking at iris. "so, how's you and louis?" iris asks, "anything new?" olivia thinks, "not really. he's just been busy, and timezones, so we haven't talked a lot." "always the busy ones," iris shakes her head, sighing. olivia hums in agreement, knowing she was also referring to y/n.

olivia looks up as she hears commotion from people on the sidewalk. her heart drops as she sees spider-woman swinging down the street, about the pass her. olivia hasn't seen y/n while she was swinging since they broke up.

olivia keeps her eyes on y/n, wind brushing past her as y/n swings by. she makes the effort to turn her body, only facing back when y/n swings the corner. "do you think she saw you?" iris asks. olivia sighs, "probably not." olivia wasn't sure if she wanted y/n to see her or not. "do you still talk to her?" olivia asks, knowing that they still followed each other on instagram. "not really," iris says, "she did wish me happy birthday last month, and we had a little talk. she didn't mention you, though."

"oh my god. don't turn around," iris says, keeping her eyes over olivia's shoulder. "why?" olivia asks. "just- fucking don't," she whispers, quickly looking down. olivias eyes widen as she sees y/n walk past them, holding her mask in her hand. "oh my god," she whispers, seeing her walk into the cafe we were seated outside at, completely clueless that her ex was in the same cafe.

olivia keeps her eyes on y/n as she was now surrounded by a lot of people, mainly parents and kids as she waits for her order, talking to them. y/n's smile never faded. iris keeps her eyes on olivia for a few seconds, realizing that olivia still looked at y/n how she used to. she makes the smarter decision to not say anything about it.

y/n smiles, crouched down as she smiles at the phones pointed at her, taking a picture with the five kids. olivia watches as y/n gives them all high fives, before standing up and walking to the counter to get her coffee. olivia could only guess it was a matcha latte. olivia had got her on it, now she was just obsessed as her.

y/n takes a sip of her matcha latte after saying goodbye to the kids, walking out of the cafe. she looks around, eyes stopping at olivia.

olivia couldn't even look away in time. she couldn't even look away in general. her heart stops as y/n's eyes stay on hers, y/n's walk slowing down in realization.
