y/n wakes up, feeling a bit of weight over her stomach. she looks down, seeing olivia in the same position as last night, but now with her leg bent and over y/n's stomach. y/n smiles, hearing olivia's soft breathing through her nose. she places her hand on olivia's thigh, closing her eyes and falling back asleep.
it's been almost two weeks since y/n and olivia had their date and y/n stayed over, and most importantly, their kiss that olivia thinks about at least every ten minutes. it had also been two weeks since either of them spoke to each other.
olivia decided from the start that she wanted y/n to be the one to text first, as she felt like she's texted first quite a few times compared to y/n. when a couple days passed, olivia just assumed y/n was busy. then, a week passed.
olivia found herself on the rooftop almost every night, hoping that y/n would be there, or at least swing by. no luck. she couldn't even go to y/n's apartment to talk about everything, because she didn't even know where y/n lived. she could be homeless for all olivia knows. although that was a small chance, as y/n's car was really nice. but that's beside the point.
on the eighth day, olivia finally texts y/n and asks her if she's okay. she never got a response. y/n's been quiet on social media, too. olivia was worried sick. did something happen to y/n while she was on patrol?
on the tenth day, she started to get really annoyed. what if nothing happened to y/n, and y/n just ghosted her after they shared a really intimate moment? but olivia knew that y/n wasn't like that, she was scared of getting into a relationship. she wouldn't have kissed olivia if she didn't think that it would go somewhere, right?
but what if y/n realized that olivia wasn't what she wanted, so she ghosted her? after all, she was scared to get into a relationship.
on the thirteenth day, olivia finds walking to the rooftop door. this was the fourth time she's been here this week, and it was only friday. she pushes open the door. only this time, it was different.
she sees y/n in her black and red suit, staring down the building as she sat on the edge. she walks over slowly, scared to startle y/n, although y/n could hear her.
y/n doesn't bother to look at olivia, as she knew it was her. olivia sits beside y/n, with about a two hands worth distance between them. olivia glances at y/n, and she swallows the lump in her throat as her heart drops. she's never seen so much sadness and guilt in one expression.
she was scared to say something. scared that y/n was gonna push her away. so they sit there in silence for a long fifteen minutes.
"i lied to you, olivia," y/n speaks up. olivia looks at her, her mind running as she thinks of all the potential things that y/n could've lied about. she didn't prefer one option over the other.
"when you assumed that i was beating criminals up... the first night we met," y/n says. olivia knew what she was talking about, but she stays quiet. "i just went along with it, because i didn't wanna talk about it, then i changed the subject," y/n says. "i noticed," olivia says. y/n takes note of that. "and... i lied about that. i know it might not have been the worst lie, but it's just still stuck in my head," y/n says, "things haven't been the best since i left your house, liv. things were really good when i met you up until then."
olivia swallows, realizing that she was about to get to know y/n a thousand times deeper. she carefully shuffles closer, keeping her eyes on the road below her.
"i don't want you to think... or know that i'm a coward," y/n says, and olivia furrows her eyebrows. "but i haven't told anyone this, and it's fucking eating me up inside," y/n says, "i'm scared of who i'll be if i don't tell someone." holy fuck, how bad was it?
