first day of senior year
olivia looks up as the new girl walks into her english class. "y/n, do you have anything to say about yourself? any... interesting facts?" miss har asks. "uh..." the girl swallows, "not really." "that's all good! welcome y/n. you can go take a seat over there," miss har points to the left side of the classroom.

olivia and others watch her walk to her table. olivia furrows her eyebrows as she silently takes a seat, keeping her eyes on the table. she didn't seem two happy about this move. this sparks something in olivia's curiosity

the bell goes, and olivia stands up. she sees the girl walk out of the classroom. "she seems weird," iris judges. olivia looks at her, "yeah. she's... different."

olivia looks up as y/n walks into physics. it was the last class of the day. turns out olivia had a few classes with her. four, to be exact. that was more than half of her subjects. y/n was quiet in all of them. she slows down to a walk, scanning the classroom for an empty seat. olivia looks away as she starts to walk to her.

y/n hesitates as she sees the girl immediately look away from her as soon as she goes to sit beside her. it was too late, though. she was already at the seat. "is anyone sitting here?" y/n asks. "no," the girl looks up. they keep eye contact for a second or two. "is it fine if i sit here?" y/n asks. "yeah, of course," she says.

y/n sits beside the girl. "i'm olivia," olivia says, "it's nice to meet you." "nice to meet you," y/n says.

they sit in silence for a bit. "um, how're you liking the school?" olivia asks. y/n inhales quietly, "it's fine." "make any friends?" olivia asks casually.

y/n stares at her book. she didn't wanna say she didn't make any friends. she didn't want olivia to feel... bad, or make fun of her, or judge her. she didn't know anything about her. "a few," y/n lies. "that's good," olivia nods, "who are they?" fuck.

y/n shrugs, "i... forgot their names." olivia furrows her eyebrows, nodding. she doesn't say anything else. she got the hint that the girl didn't really wanna talk.

y/n stands up as the bell goes. she doesn't look at anyone, heading straight for the door.

y/n brings the bag to the front of her as she walks a safe distance away from the school. she digs to her web shooters at the bottom of her bag, putting them on as she looks around her.

she zips her bag up, putting it on her shoulders. she turns into an alleyway, looking back and around her as she walks to see if anyone was there. she looks up, webbing to the building and pulling herself up.

"she's weird," conan says as olivia and her friends get onto the topic of the new girl, eating at a café a few minutes walk from the school. they were regular customers, as well as a few other people from school. "just because she's quiet," madison says. "honestly, yeah," conan chuckles, "does she have any friends yet?" "she says she does," olivia says. "you talked to her?" iris asks. "barely," olivia says, "she sat next to be in physics. i brought the conversation up. she said she had a few friends, but she couldn't remember the names of them when i asked her who they were." "is she smart, at least?" iris asks. "i don't know, i didn't look over at her book," olivia answers with a shrug. she should've. olivia's curiosity was drawn to this girl.

y/n walks into the public pool, looking around at the children playing in the pool and adults relaxing around it. she heads to the showers, closing the door behind her and undressing herself.

y/n sits at the edge of a building, looking down at her book on her lap as she does her english homework. after a while, y/n lays in the middle of the rooftop, getting comfortable as she lays her head on her duffel bag. she closes her eyes, falling asleep.
