"No, I think that sounds just crazy enough." Lorelai said, smiling into the phone.

"What sounds crazy enough?" Rory whispered, nudging her mom as Sage's eyebrows just raised. "She looks like a love struck teenager." She mumbled, earning a short chuckle from her sister.

"Well, that sounds great, Peyton. It's a plan. I'll see you then, bye."

The girls' mom smiled even more, looking down at her daughters. "We're having dinner tomorrow," Rory replied, "what were you saying about David Bowie?" Sage added on, "yeah, dinner is child's play, get to the interesting stuff."

"Well, he asked me to the David Bowie concert next week." Lorelai said. "You're so lucky," Rory exclaimed, Sage nodded beside her. "I know," their mom said. "And once that was said, he said that a week was an awfully long time to wait."

"He did not," Rory swooned. "Oh, he's obsessed," Sage said.

"So, we're having dinner tomorrow." Lorelai said. "And Bowie next week?" Rory and Sage both asked. "And Bowie next week," she confirmed.

"Two dates in one phone call." Rory sighed. "Talk about not wasting any time," Sage mused.

"He sounds very cool. And not just cause he owns his own jet." Lorelai grinned. "Maybe, but you can't deny it's a bonus," Sage teased.

"Remember to tell him that the way to get to you is through your daughters, one of which who desperately wants to go to Amsterdam." Rory said, motioning to Sage as she went to water the flowers they had originally entered their recent neighbors house for in the first place. "And the other who desperately wants to go to Rome."

"I'm still sorry, it sucks," Rory said, taking a bite of her pie while Sage took a drink of her coffee. "I'm still hung up on Bowie, what a missed opportunity,"  she sighed, while Lorelai nodded in agreement, before changing the subject.

"Anywho, how'd your essay go on whatever educational subject you were working on?" She asked, smiling softly as her phone began to ring. "You mean my essay on the Wars of the Diadochi? A hundred percent. It was fun too," Sage replied, watching her nod before answering.

"Hello? Oh, Dwight," Lorelai said, a look of annoyance on her face, making Rory and Sage share an amusement filled glances. "Hi, it's nice to hear from you too. How'd you get my cellphone number?"

"Oh, yeah, gotta love that Babette, huh"

Sage mumbled, only loud enough so Rory could hear, "traitor." She shook her head. Rory nodded, "for real."

"Oh, the lawns fine," Lorelai replied, hesitantly taking a breath after a moment. "Okay? Okay," she exhaled, rubbing her temple. "Sure, Dwight, have. A safe trip. Hope nothing horrible happens in the middle of the night, causing you to never return. No problem, bye."

Sage looked at her for a second. "That seemed moderately baleful." Lorelai sighed, "I don't know what that means, but if it's negative, I meant it."
