Chapter 68: The Tough Amelia

Her attention wasn't totally on the meeting. She was thinking about what happened yesterday. Gabriel was giving her a jolt that runs in her veins through her heart when he told his story, the Riel-Toria story. Yesterday, she thought everything that had happened between her and Gabriel from the past was just a nightmare and there, they were stucked in an elevator that brought them back to the past. They brought back the Riel and Toria Story in reality. And now, instead of listening to the board, she's in a daydreaming session, dreaming that 'Sana, hindi nalang kita pinayagang umalis noon para hindi mo ako iniwan.'

She smiled bitterly and trying to focus on the board. Tumayo si Mr. Reyes, the highest holder of shares of the board, kaya napatingin siya dito. He cleared his throat first before he speaks. "I'm sorry that I am not going to finish this meeting but my niece is going to take charge for my presence." He signaled to the woman wearing sunglass and intimidating dress and a very irritating black feathered cap. She is also wearing a fashionable gloves that made Vicky annoyed and wanted to burst in laughter. To make it short, the woman looks like widowed or namatayan.

Mr. Reyes introduces her.

"By the way, this is my niece.." The woman remove her sunglasses and her eyes were locked sternly and her mouth flashes her trademark wicked smile to Vicky. "Amelia Reyes."

Vicky's mouth was hang open and she can't believe that Amelia Reyes is now on her company. How come she didn't know that they are related.

"I will also transfer to her my shares in this corporation because I will be leaving for good." Mr. Reyes spit out that made Vicky gritted her teeth and speechless.

"It's good to see you again, Victoria Marcial." Amelia spoke in an unearthly manner. Vicky just answered her a sarcastic smile.

Hindi pwedeng ipagtabuyan ni Vicky si Amelia dahil they were in the middle of the board.

Amelia looked at the board members with a grin and return it to Vicky.

"Like what Tito Miguel said a while ago, I am Amelia Reyes- ARELLANO, the only wife of Gabriel Arellano and the daughter of Sen. Reyes. I'm hoping that makagaanan ko kayo ng loob." She said still looking at Vicky's irritated face.

The whole meeting was adjourned without any single information comes in Vicky's head. She was very intimidated to Amelia's appearance and on what Amelia said as an introduction of herself.

'Bakit dito pa!' Sigaw ni Vicky sa isip-isip niya. She nearly break the pen she was holding sa inis at galit kay Amelia. Pero si Amelia, mapang-inis na ngiti ang ibinubungad niya sa tuwing magkakasalubong sila ng tingin. The board members stood and preparing to leave. But she and Amelia were still sitting down on their seats.

They waited until the people left. And now, they're are left in the conference room. Waiting for each other to speak.

"Ang lakas din ng loob mong pumasok sa kumpanya ko." Matigas na sabi ni Vicky but still she managed not to show her anger in front of Amelia.

Amelia laughed a bit.

"Why not? This company came from John's wealth na pinagpaguran niya." Amelia stared at Vicky's shocked reaction and made her laughed a bit.

"Why do you care? Asawa ko siya and I didn't ask him to left his properties to me and to OUR daughter. And one more thing is, we are married. So, kahit na hindi niya nasabi kung sino ang beneficiary, we have the right to own it." Defensive na sabi ni Vicky in a casual way.

Amelia laughed wickedly again. She's more like insane.

"Then, I am part of your company now." Amelia said giving every word a point.
