'' I thought for a moment that Maria had become your obsession'' she frowns

'' I should leave you two alone'' Lucas announced and he hurried away

'' I was never obsessed with Maria'' I looked away from her and rested my back

'' Yes you were, ever since she got here, you used the excuse of wanting to control her, talking about Maria every single day, to a point where I began to think that maybe something was going on'' those words almost set me off, maybe it's because it was true. '' Now you suddenly don't care''

'' Everyone gets over a new toy Bianca'' facing her again '' Now, what she does, is none of my business so leave me alone''

'' So you are just going to let her go, despite how you hate Alex?''

'' Maria is my friend and I will break any mother fucker who tries to win her from me'' a deadly stare and threatening words. Oh, I love it then she gets off. I found myself smiling

'' Shut up'' almost raising her voice. She let her hand drop from her waist '' we are going to that party''

'' Nope,'' I Reached for my phone in my pocket about to send for Cassandra. '' I already told him I wouldn't show''

'' I don't care what you tell him... I am not going there alone''

'' I thought you were going to be with Maria?'' her eyes soften

'' I... I want you there with me... just in case''

'' Don't tell me that you are truly scared you would lose her to Alex'' almost laughing

'' Just come with me... please''

'' Arrrrr'' frustrated while I rolled my eyes '' I hate you, Sis''

'' and I love you too'' giving me that smile which I rarely see.

A party wouldn't be a bad Idea. I haven't done anything exciting since the interview with the press. I had returned to Lucas's place, drown myself in weed and slept till the morning. Bianca had to bring my uniform over to Lucas's place before school. But I wouldn't deny that I hate the fact the party was at Alex's place. I hated it, I hate being in these familiar premises. This house that one upon a time I used to love to run to until things changed, Mother died and I changed as well. I no longer found it exciting to run to. I have no idea what happened between Alex and me either, we just turned enemies. ''I thought you wouldn't show'' the smiling Alex appeared at the staircase where I stood with Bianca and Lucas. observing the people celebrating below us. Crazy teenagers, high and out of control.

'' You should thank her for that'' I tell him, referring to Bianca, without sparing him a glance

'' Ha'' a small laughter escaped his lips '' Thanks, Bianca... it's good to have you two here, it's been a while since we all got together''

'' Shut the fuck up'' she snapped and he laughs

'' I have a feeling you are here because of Maria"

'' Good to know you got the memo'' irritation in her tone

'' And Maria is running late why?'' sounding worried '' I hope she.......'' My world fell into silence when that figure slowly entered the crowd. Looking like a goddess. Alex went on talking but I didn't hear a thing. The party music stopped and people celebrated to nothing. Like the world went mute. Never in my life have I seen someone so beautiful, breathtaking. For the first time, Maria was on makeup and she wore a dark blue, long sleeve, mini dress, exposing her fair, perfect legs, and her eye sparkled as she smiled at Gorge who suddenly showed up next to her. His presence made me frown. Maria has managed to grab my attention, she got me wrapped in her fingertips, controlling me unknowingly while I fight to remain in control. Tonight was total proof that an angel has turned into a goddess overnight and she has no idea what she has done to me. She had no idea how crazy I was about to go because of her and I have no idea how I let her pull me into this mess.

''oh, Maria is here'' That excited tone, turns on the sound of the world that Maria took away just by walking in. '' See ya'' Alex made his way down the stairs while I held back. What the fuck is my problem. I can't really be reacting this way for a person like Maria, I can't.

'' I hate him'' I heard Bianca grumble under her breath. I watched Alex travel the crowd to Maria and Gorge. Maria who seemed nervous at first suddenly felt at ease at the sight of Alex. He pulled her in for a hug and whispered something that made Maria Laugh. What could Alex possibly say to make her laugh like that? Why does she always smile when she speaks to them? What does a weirdo like Gorge possibly say to make her give in? She smiled at the little argument Gorge and Alex were having.

''She seems to have captured the heart of two guys with ease '' I look to my side to see Lucas who is also observing

'' how about you shut the fuck up'' I called his attention to me angrily and I could see in the shock in his eyes, that I overreacted.

'' sorry dude, it was a simple observation... I didn't mean to upset you'' confused and frightened

''Keep your observation to yourself'' I turn to Bianca, '' are you just going to stand there or go meet her'' Bianca was having a mental crisis. She was so desperate to come to stop Alex from stealing Maria and here she stood, not even making a move ''You would only lose something if you don't fight to have it'' She looked away from them to me '' If you don't want Alex to have her then make sure he doesn't and don't just stand and watch her slip pass your finger.'' I didn't wait to see what she would do next, I walked away from them, and down the stairs to the kitchen I needed a beer or whisked. Something to get my head off and set my roller costing heart straight.

I was able to get a bottle of beer from the bar and returned to the party hall. I stood at an end, watching through the crowd as Bianca finally approached Maria. To my surprise Maria was excited to see Bianca, I guess Bianca hadn't realized that Maria liked her that much not to leave her that easily. I don't blame her. friends left her countlessly for no reason in particular. The friends she had only stuck around because of our family name and when they realised they weren't going to get anything out of Bianca, They all left her heart broken, taking away her desires for friendship. until she found Maria. Only the heavens know what she saw in Maria, what I see in Maria.
