MARIA'S POV
I had just finished cleaning the bar when I got a beep on my phone. I took it out to see it was a message from the school group. Another video. I didn't want to watch the video, knowing very well it would upset me but I did anyway and my heart sank at its contents. The caption was it seems like the knight finally won the war. The video was a compilation of short clips from the beginning of when I entered the school and My meeting with Logan, showing videos of things that I didn't even know one was watching and had recorded. Then ended with what I never expected. The night Logan and I kissed at Alex's Party. I covered my mouth in shock and panic, Logan must have seen this, how would he react? This is fucked up.
I hurried out of the bar, back to the main building only to see Maya and Abigail in a hurry, leaving the house. They seemed anxious and scared about something. With intentions of going to see Logan
'' Maria'' I heard from behind me. Turning around to meet the worried Bianca, who seemed to have just gotten out of the pool. As she was still in her swimsuit and wet hair.
'' Bianca'' walking up to her '' I just saw... ''
'' You should leave'' she snapped, stopping me at my track. I studied her expression to know if she was mad at me or something, but she wasn't, instead, she was worried
'' Pardon''
'' Logan just texted me, My Father, somehow got the video and may come home tonight''
'' Oh my god'' my heart ached at the thought of what may happen to Logan
'' He said I should send you away so my father wouldn't see you around'' They were trying to protect me, despite them getting hurt, they are trying to protect me.
'' I don't want to go'' shaking my head in disagreement
'' It is not time to be stubborn, Maria'' She scolded'' My Father is a very dangerous man and if he sees you in this house, not only will it be bad for all of us but for you and your family'' My family, why would he come for my family, I felt a creepy chill at the back of my neck '' You should go''
'' What about Logan? What about you?''
'' Maria'' she walked closer and took my hand '' Logan wouldn't be happy if my father catches you, Go, we will talk tomorrow at school'' with eyes locked on mine, never have I seen Bianca this serious about something
'' O..ok''
I hurried out of the house with a million thoughts running through my head, I thought about Logan and Bianca, I thought about Maya, then I thought about Malisa and my mother. What did I do to deserve sure torment in my life? When my father died, I had thought that I would finally be free but no, I am still trapped in this shit hole called a life. This isn't Logan's fault, nor my fault, but the fault of that mother fucker that keeps posting these videos. Oh lord, save that mother fucker because I would make sure that person regrets being born if I happen to set my eyes on whoever he or she is.
Instead of taking the bus, I walked, it was already sunset when I arrived at the convenience store. I didn't say much to Lara before leaving. Buying a can of bear and instant noodles on my way out. I stopped at my usual spot, my place of peace. The beach.
A teenage girl seating by the beach under the peach black night sky, eyes focused on the dark calming wave. I was fit to act as a depressed young girl in an American movie. I sat there for almost an hour and 30 minutes when I finished my noodles and bear. Thinking about what I did wrong in my past life to make me deserve such punishment. The weather grew cold, very cold. I lift my head to notice the sky. It would rain soon, it has been a while since it rained and I suspect that it planned to come heavy. I stood up, packed my bag to leave and I almost fainted when I saw Lara, standing behind me holding a black leather bag in one hand and a jacket in the other.
