MARIA's POV
I stood before my bed with several outfits spread out and I came to realize that, I had no decent clothes. The clothes I had were either, too casual clothes, old uniforms from previous part-time jobs, old clothes that I have grown out of and some random shit. I had no time for friends and parties, I guess that is why I never realised that I needed outing clothes. '' this is messed up'' whispering to myself. If only I didn't promise Alex that I would come. '' Well done Maria, you keep getting yourself in complicated situations these days''
'' Damn I hate school'' Malisa suddenly entered the room, looking as exhausted as ever. She stopped at her track when she saw me
'' hey'' I smiled
'' Why? How come you are home? You didn't go to work''
'' No'' shaking my head '' Why are you surprised, didn't Mother mention that I was home?"
'' No... and I just came from the restaurant'' she threw her bag on the floor while walking to me '' What happened? You got fired already?''
'' I emmm'' wondering what her reaction would be... I had told Mother that I was taking a day off but I didn't say why '' I took a day off''
'' Seriously'' shocked '' Why? Are you sick? You never take a day off'' Before I could respond, her gaze dropped to the bed '' Why do you have clothes littered all over?''
'' emmm'' I scratch my hair '' Do you have a decent outfit that I can wear'' she looks at me with an eyebrow raised, slowly forming a smile
'' Oh my God'' she covered her mouth '' You have a date'' she let out, hitting me so hard that I almost lost balance
'' No, No'' I spoke immediately
'' Oh my God, Maria has a Date'' she screamed
'' It's not like that Malisa''
'' Mummy!!!'' she screamed while running out of the room and out of the house. Leaving me in a state of confusion and shock
'' It is not a date Malisa'' I couldn't even speak out loud again, due to the shock I was in and in less than 10 minutes, I heard our entrance door bust open and my mother and Malisa rushed into the room, panting. '' What the hell?''
'' You... have a date?'' My mother spoke in between her breath
'' No... it's not a date'' holding back from yelling
'' then what is all this'' Malisa points to the bed and I rolled my eyes and sigh
'' a friend invited me to a party'' and the room fell into dead silence. Malisa leaned to my mother and said
'' This is even more shocking than a dat mother''
'' Indeed it is'' mother nodded
'' Seriously'' throwing my hands in the air, '' I don't even have a single outfit to wear. I am going to look so out of place''
'' Don't worry honey'' My mother walked up to me '' I have waited patiently for this day for so long."

This led me to this point '' You are beautiful Maria. Bianca sized me up as she spoke in amazement. ''You have always been but today, I literary fell in love with you'' I smiled at her compliment. I was so excited to see Bianca her. When Logan said he wouldn't show I thought he included Bianca. I never suspected she had plans of her own. Thank goodness I wouldn't be utterly lost in this place. Alex had said it was a simple welcome party I should have known that my definition of simple was different from his
