LOGAN'S POV

I woke up three weeks later at the hospital. Why I stayed that long? Because I was shot twice in the heart, lost a lot of blood, went into surgery and almost died in the surgery so I fell into a coma. My father's case has been going on since then. Maya and Aunt followed the whole process while Bianca watched over me. The company was shut down for the time being and Max City has been in a state of shock.

We got news about Maria and I felt relieved knowing that she was ok

I knew what was coming for us. we would lose it all. The company, the wealth and power, all of it. But then I think about it. I feel at peace. Bianca and I can leave our lives in peace. Losing everything didn't mean we would go broke. We had money that would serve us for generations if put to good use but it meant starting over.

A day to the final hearing in court. I was discharged and allowed to see how my father ended. '' You have been found guilty of the Murder of 25 people who died in the fire accident caused by the company's use of inadequate cheap material, 15 families and 1 employee, killed to cover up the deeds, the death of your wife, fraud, manipulation of police evidence, attempt murder and physical abuse of family and staffs''

The crowd murmured amongst themselves. '' Order'' the judge announced and the room went silent '' By order of the Court, you are sentenced to life in prison according to sec 1111 of the constitution and Max company would be shut down for good in respect to those it has ruined'' the judge slams her hammer '' case closed''

'' ha,'' I heard him say with his head low, looking to the ground. never have I seen my father in such a state. A man who always had his shoulders standing tall and his head held high. Had been brought down to nothing. '' ha,ha,ha,ha, ah'' he laughs out loud, lifting his head to look at the roof '' ha,ha,haaaa'' he suddenly turned in my direction and I felt someone grab my hand. Bianca, her gaze focused on my father in fear.

'' Are you happy now Logan'' he smiled '' Look what you have done, all for what... some worthless girl'' I frowned at what he referred to Maria as '' And where is she now... you think you two would work after all this haa, you think she would want you ha''

'' Take him away'' the judge ordered and the two police officers went to grab him at both sides

'' You have lost everything Logan I tell you'' he struggled against their grip '' A son of a beast... she would never want you Logan, never.. ha,ha'' he laughed and my gaze followed him till he was out of sight

'' court dismiss''

We exited the court. Bianca held my hand as we walked down the stairs together with Maya and Aunt. Immediately we are surrounded by reporters. '' How do you feel Mr Logan and Miss Bianca... what is going to happen to the family... Mrs Richard, does that mean you will divorce now that the family has nothing.... Are you going to let the company shut down..... What will happen from here.... what is the family's next move?'' countless questions thrown our way, uncontrollable camera flashes, and we could barely walk. Securities forced their way in making way for us to pass. The car stopped and we all got in, with Maya at the front then Bianca, Aunt and I at the back''

'' I hate this'' Bianca rested her head on my shoulder as she tightened her grip on my arms.

'' it will all be over soon, don't worry'' I whispered as I adjusted her hair. I thought about what my father said. He was right when he said I lost Maria. After all this Maria would surely not come back. And it's understandable if she didn't. She almost died because of my family, her entire family almost got wiped out.

We arrived at our home and as they drove in Bianca broke the silence. '' Are we losing the house as well?''

'' No'' Maya responded before I could '' A much as it holds bad memories, it also holds Memories of your mother, all the good happy ones'' She smiled and looked at us '' We should keep it'' I wouldn't deny that I am beginning to like her
