'' Maria'' he looks away from me. uneasiness in his behaviour '' It's someone you know and you will surely go on to ask me what I did and I don't know how to answer that... I... I don't want to lie to you Maria'' he faced me again and I got trapped in does eyes " Don't make me lie to you Maria'' thought for a while, my heart racing in fear. Who is this person and what did Logan do to him that he is so scared of telling me... I hope it is not ...
'' ok'' I, snapped out of the thought immediately. Believing Logan wouldn't do something like that. Kill someone for something like this '' I wouldn't ask about it... for now'' he smiled '' I should get back to studying''
'' Ok'' he murmured
'' if I am going to beat you on this exam then I have to be more than ready for battle''
'' I don't plan on going easy on you anyway''
I love my job. It was the best. Evening shifts and pays daily. Though, it is stressful but nothing that I can not handle. I had just gotten off work by 9 pm. I stood at the entrance of the building then I got a text from Malisa. Telling me to stop at the supermarket and get mother fruit. '' What the hell is she doing at home that she can not get it herself'' I grumbled to myself. Just about to start walking when that familiar black Lamborghini stopped in front of me and wined down the glass. Logan. Holy shit. He said he would come pick me up tonight and I am supposed to give him an answer. I honestly don't know what to say to this guy.
The thought of dating Logan gave me butterflies throughout the day. Why? I have no fucking idea. I had fallen for my enemy without even realizing that I did. But I can't date him. It wouldn't end well, for the both of us and I am certain he knows this.
'' are you just going to stand there or get in'' interrupting my thought
'' oh sorry,'' I quickly got into the car and he drove off.
I couldn't help noticing how nice he looked while driving and his outfit was fresh, I could tell that He had a fresh haircut. What is the occasion? I should ask him, shouldn't I? And also there was a very lovely scent coming from behind the car.
'' Maria, I can't focus with you staring at me like that'' He caught me. I looked away as my face flashed red in embarrassment.
'' Hmm.. So, where are you taking me?'' bring up a conversation immediately, to kill my embarrassment.
''Your favourite place'' I fell into deep thought.
'' I didn't know I had a favourite place'' Where is my favourite place? Logan smirked in response and I didn't ask him any further questions. We drove in comfortable silence for about 20 minutes. A knowing smile slowly made its way to my lips when I came to realise where we were going. That familiar beach. My favourite place Indeed. I come to realise stress and think straight. But right now, it was neither, Logan had brought me here for a different reason. He drove Into the empty field and stopped. I gave him a curious look. And he smiled suspiciously
'' This was the only place I could think of'' He says
'' For what?
'' Come on'' I watched him open the door and got out and I got out as well, curious of what he was up to. Logan went around the car to meet me, he took my hand and led me to the back of the car.
'' What is going on?'' We stood before the car trunk and Logan had a very strange smile on his face. '' What are you up to Logan.''
'' Look'' he gestured for me to look at the trunk like there was something I wasn't seeing but he was. Suddenly it opened revealing a trunk full of pink roses, and a ribbon hanging above which said, Happy birthday, My Lady. Speechless, overwhelmed. My heart raced as I looked from the roses to Logan. Logan carried a nervous expression mixed with worries. Today is my birthday and I forgot as well as everyone else at home. How did Logan know?
