LOGAN's POV

The day Maria said yes to me was when life became perfect. I looked forward to waking up every day. I got excited about school as I knew I would see her there, I stopped taking coffee and took more fruit, and at night I waited for her good night text before going to bed which resulted in sleeping at 2 am as Maria was always so busy to remember to text. Her kisses were what keeps my day going even after getting pissed off by those basters at school. She is my queen, the one whose laughter makes me feel like I am the brightest person in the world, her anger reminds me of how annoying I can get, When she shows me her sadness, it overjoys me knowing I am a person who one can lean on even if it is just to one person and her smile gives me the reason to be good for her and only her, and I will make sure she forever remains by my side.

Everything was going perfectly until Bianca hurried to meet me at the pool while I talked with Lucas and Victor who was inside the water. Lucas told me that Max would probably be released soon '' Hey'' Bianca who looked bothered about something

'' What is it?'' I sat up in concern

'' I have to tell you something'' She began walking away and I followed behind her. Bianca led me upstairs to my room and the moment I closed the door '' Think something bad is about to happen to Maria?'' My heart and brain went crazy at those words

'' What the fuck are you talking about?''

'' I went to the company and wanted to see Father then I overheard him talking about Maria'' fear consumed me at her words

'' W... what'' why would they be talking about Maria '' why were they...''

'' I spoke to the secretary and it turns out that Maria was brought to see father two days ago and....'' she hesitates

'' And what''

'' I think Father is suspicious of her and has his men on the watch'' she said in panic, pacing back and forth. She was anxious so was I but I had to keep my cool, if I let off what was going on in my head right now, it wouldn't be good for anyone

'' you think or you are sure he has men on the watch''

'' I don't know Logan'' she walks to me '' I am scared father would hurt her'' fear in her eyes

''Have you called her?''

'' she is not picking up my call'' Bianca said

'' Fuck'' walking to the closet to get changed

'' what do you want to do?'' she asked

'' I am going to see her... we were supposed to meet tonight '' I tell Bianca '' You, stay at home with Lucas and Victor, I will text you when I get to her''

And here I was at Maria's house, after waiting an hour, she finally came home and I felt relieved to see she was ok.

'' Logan, what are you doing here'' She hadn't moved an inch since she came in. Something was off about her, about the way she looked at me about her tone and it made me worry in a bad way.

'' You told me to come over, remember?'' I reminded her of earlier today, at the rooftop

'' Oh.. Yeah'' she gave a slight nod

'' Maria'' her Mother called '' Come help me here''

'' oh, coming'' Maria responded and turned around to go join her mother then she stopped. Maria looked at me then smiled, Finally. Joy watched over me. Surely something was going on but Maria and I were still good.

Dinner with the family was perfect. It was my second time having dinner with them and just like the first, it was lively. Malisa and her mother kept going on about a movie they watched Last night, the latest DC film, Blue Beetle. I watched it with Lucas and it was nice but I never thought too much of it until today. Malisa kept bringing me into the argument, wanting me to see from her view but I couldn't risk it, if I did, it meant me going against my future mother in law and that, I can't risk so I chose to remain silent and smile just like Maria did.
