''Maria... are you unwell?'' I heard my mother's voice.
          Still in bed with no plans of turning up in school. After I returned from the party last night I didn't say much. I was scared as fuck, scared they would find out what I have done. But what did I do wrong? This isn't the first time Logan kissed me. It just, this time I liked it, That has to be the reason I was scared. I heard a slight knock on the door and my mother entered quietly. ''Maria?'' she called worried about my strange behaviour

''mmm,'' I responded without moving from my lying position. I heard her footsteps approaching and the bed sank in as she sat down at the edge of the bed, beside me. '' Good morning'' I Murmured inside the sheet

''Are you feeling unwell'' She pulled down the sheet and placed her hand on my forehead, checking my temperature. I didn't struggle, knowing that if I did she would ask questions like. Are you hiding something from me? What happened at the party?

'' It's just a headache'' I lied while I closed my eyes to her touch

''it can't be just a headache... You never miss school no matter what, Even when you are unwell'' I opened my eyes to see her sizing me up '' talk to me, what is troubling you'' Of course my mother knew me well enough to tell it wasn't a headache

'' It's nothing, really. Just a headache''

'' A very terrible headache is it?''

'' Very'' In a tone so low but loud enough for her to hear '' It is probably an after effect the party, music, crowd and everything'' My mother gave me this uncertain look for a few seconds while I gave a smile as weak as possible. I need her to believe, it was a headache

'' If that is the case'' she pats my head gently, I'll go get you some medicine

'' You don't need to worry mummy'' I sat up

'' Yes I do, it is unusual seeing you this way.... Malisa already left for school and you are still in bed''

'' I don't plan on going to school today'' I tell her

'' Enough reason to get you medicine'' I raised an eyebrow as it hit me

'' speaking of medicine... have you gone to the hospital yet?'' She beat the edge of her lips nervously and it told me everything '' Mummy!!'' Unable to control my tone

''What?'' she scold back in shock at my reaction

'' Why haven't you gone to the hospital yet'' I Sized up her expression.

'' Maria, I can no longer go to the hospital...'' I caught her off as quickly as she began

'' What do you mean you can no longer go to the hospital...? Have you gotten better?'' I pushed forward getting closer to her.

'' I...'' she hesitates

'' You what''

'' The money I raised for the hospital bill I had to use to settle the landlord for the next two months'' she spoke quickly, like a child about to get scolded and my heart dropped after realizing. Not only have I not settled the landlord, I haven't gone to see the debtors and it's been over two weeks.

'' Oh my God'' Covering my mouth in shock. I can't believe I forgot about them. I have been distracted that I forgot about something so important, fuck. What am I going to do? I have to go see them tomorrow. If I go today, Mother will grow suspicions.

'' I expected you to yell...'' My mother interrupted my thought '' I intentionally didn't tell you about it because I didn't want you to overwork yourself any more''

LOGAN'S POV

I kissed her. The first time I kissed Maria was to hurt her. I had full control back then, but Last night. Last night I couldn't stand it. I burned for her. I lost control and worst of all, she kissed me back. Why? Why the fuck did she kiss me back and slapped me in the end? Putting me in the most confused state ever. Does she hate me or the kiss? Does she hate me more for forcing her into a kiss? If that is the case then why did she kiss me back? I am going to die out of confusion, frustration and curiosity. That is if my uncontrollable desire to kiss and hold her again doesn't kill me first.

Overwhelmed with mixed emotions, I couldn't sleep last night, no matter how high I got myself. My eye remained as wide as an open gate. My Brain was not far from explosion due to how busy it was all night. This is not me any more, I hate this. I am not myself and it frustrates me. Maria is doing something to me.

'' Logan'' Cassandra busts in angrily, ruining my high. I had only just let her into the group again a few days ago and she is already making her way towards exile once more '' Logan'' she calls as she walks to stand in front of me. I lift my head to get a good view of the young lady while I inhale my almost-finished wrap.

'' Didn't I ask to not be disturbed? Cassandra'' The look she gave me clearly states, she was out to defy me today, interesting.

'' Why did you do it?'' she asked making me raise an eyebrow

'' If you are going to ask questions Cassandra, be more specific''

'' Maria...'' she said that name and I gave her my full attention immediately

'' What about her?''

'' Last night, you and Maria. Why did you kiss her?'' The questions took me by surprise but god knows I let no mother fuck take me off guard. Cassandra has either been spying on me or someone else saw us last night and told Cassandra. And if that is the case, the whole school will eventually know of it. In a way I want that to happen and still don't

'' I See...'' I lost interest in my weed, slipping it off my finger and I had no idea where it landed. I stood up from my seat immediately she took a few steps back '' You invading my privacy without permission''

'' Logan that is not the point here...''

'' Then what is the point here?'' cutting off her bullshit ''That I kissed Maria? And so what?''

'' Hhh'' shock and disappointment flashed in her eyes '' You don't even try to deny it'' she frowns

'' I....I thought.... I thought you hated her Logan.. she is a nobody, why did you kiss her''

''o...ok...fine'' she let out weakly and turned around to leave But stopped at Bianca's presence. I had been so caught up with Cassandra that I didn't notice when she entered and she didn't look pleased by what she had just heard.

'' Go away Cassandra'' I ordered. Cassandra stormed out leaving me and Bianca, who remained silent for so long and her eyes told me I would be dead in the next few minutes. It took almost 5 minutes before she finally spoke

'' You.. Kissed.. Maria?'' She walked towards me like she would rip me apart the moment she got to me. It's rare to see this side of Bianca and this is the first time it scares me.
