    '' You... ''
''Honey'' Maya suddenly spoke, taking his attention '' The kids haven't seen you in a while now and you just got back from your trip.... I don't think that scolding them right away is nice ''
'' Well Maya, if you have done your job well I wouldn't have to scold them '' He spoke with a frown with that he stood up and left
'' hha'' she sighed '' Please don't let him get to you '' She gave us that smile, that smile that Bianca and I have grown to hate. That smile that looks warm and welcoming on the outside but holds so much evil behind it '' he is probably still exhausted from his trip
'' No one asked for your Opinion Maya '' Bianca said and got up '' Don't try to act like our mother when you are not '' She walked away out of sight, leaving me and Maya alone
    '' Logan I..''
'' Maya '' she kept quiet '' What have I told you about getting involved with our family matters ''
'' I just wanted to help '' she spoke with that innocent tone that irritated the shit out of me
'' No one asked for your help... don't try to act like you care when we all know fucking well that you don't ''
    '' Logan..''
''Don't call my fucking name.. you wouldn't even be seating here with us if it wasn't for Father.. so how about you just continue to do nothing and just exist like you are told to do '' I got up and left as well. Taking the stairs up. Feeling so much anger, I wanted to explore. Why does she always do this, act like she cares and pretend not to know what is going on? Whenever we needed her she never showed, she disappeared for days and came back to acting like she cared and was all good and innocent.

MARIA'S POV
'' Here '' I slam the brown envelope on the table. '' Two hundred dollars '' Here I was, in an isolated room. Where the debtors stay. It was a very messy and disorganized room, with little light coming in from the window and the bulb which flickered. It was filled with scaring-looking men. Most of them seemed already high and some were taking in weed. And five of them surrounded me as I stood across the table from Marshal. This was not a place for a high school girl but I was here anyway. Sometimes, Life makes one become too bold
'' Maria!! '' excitement in his eyes as he reached for the envelope'' I wasn't expecting you till next weak Friday '' Opening the envelope, he raised an eyebrow at me, impressed
'' What can I say, miracles happen '' I said
'' Jo '' he spoke to the boy standing by his side
'' Sir '' the guy on his right stepped forward
'' Count this '' he handed the envelope over to Jo. I stood there quietly until Jo counted all the money
'' Complete sir '' giving it back to Marshal
'' Wow, what can I say Maria? You are nothing like your father '' smiling
'' then I will take my leave '' I turn around only to be blocked by his boys. I rolled my eyes at their action '' May I pass? ''
'' And what about this month's pay '' Immediately I turn around, confused
'' I thought we only agreed on the last two months ''
'' I reminded you of the last two months, doesn't mean you wouldn't bring this month's pay''
'' Oh Come on '' frustration in my tone, my hand itching to punch one of them
    '' Where is my money?''
'' Marshal, I had to work my butts off to get this money. How do you expect me to get another within this month''
'' Like you said Maria... Miracles happen ''
    '' What the fuck ''
'' You shouldn't have allowed your father to borrow money in the first place ''
'' hha '' I sighed. Staring at Marshal '' fine.. please give me time ''
    '' two weeks ''
'' what the?... Two weeks? ''
'' Yes.. that is the end of the month...get me my money '' with all seriousness
    '' Where would I...'' I grew speechless
'' Go back to your miracle '' he smiled

I stood outside the store thinking of what to do next. I don't even have a job even if I get a job. It wouldn't pay that much to raise a hundred droller in two weeks. If it wasn't for those asshole that paid me to play a game, I wouldn't have completed that money yet. As much as I didn't want to admit it. They were the miracle and Marshal said I should go back to them. A mission Impossible
'' Maria '' That Familiar voice called, making me smile. It was Malisa and we were meeting up to buy her shoes
'' Malisa '' I smiled at the sight of the cute girl running my way. She stopped in front of me
'' where did you go early this morning?'' curiously
'' I got a babysitting gig and after that, I had to stop by somewhere to sort out something''
    '' Oh ''
'' Let go in '' I said, pointing to the store. She looks at it then back at me
    '' Maria '' nervously
    '' what is it?''
'' ammm.... if we are done here and ammm... '' she hesitates
    '' I don't read minds Malisa ''
'' If we are done here. Can we stop by at game city if you still have money''
'' Game city?'' the name brought back memories. We used to go there with our mum when we were younger '' I thought the place closed down''
'' They opened again, last week. And I wanted my first time going, should be with you '' She bit her lower lips, making her look so adorable and I could not stop myself from smiling
    '' sure. Why not ''
'' Yes '' she whispered in victory '' Now, let's go get those shoes '' She led the way
