Sitting on the grass, inside the bushed, I think to myself, what if Logan gets me fired once again? I really need this job, the debtors may show up at my house if I don't meet the deadline. I closed my eyes and lifted my head to face the sky. I took a few deep breaths. I can do this, even if it means that I have to beg him. At that moment, I remembered what Lara said. she never got to meet the young masters, she knows not how they look like. I can do the same. I just had to avoid him at all costs.

'' You are 5 minutes late '' the head maid said with a frown

'' I am so sorry... I got delayed on my way here '' she rolled her eyes at my apology while I gave a fake smile

'' Whatever. The pool area needs to be cleaned, and get the laundry done. Madam Maya would be going out in an hour, time. Clean the room before she gets back '' she instructed

'' Got it ''

'' I sent a Map of the building to your email. Study it ''

'' Yes ma'am ''

'' And call me Abigail... Calling me ma'am only makes me appear harsh '' the irritation in her tone made me smile

'' I am sorry... Abigail '' she crossed her arms and sized me up

''You.. '' she scanned with a nod '' You have a nice smile '' Her compliments took me by surprise and I watched her walk away. I began to see her in a different light

'' I have a nice smile '' I whispered her words to myself as I walked to the changing room, I changed into the uniform. A sky blue shirt and black knee-length skirt. I picked up the ID card given to me earlier. It had my name on it and also a code. Abigail said it gives me access to the gate and the main building. I quickly got to work.

By the time I finished with the pool, Madam Maya already left so I quickly cleaned her room and it seemed like she had a separate room from her husband's. While cleaning I noticed one thing, she had a lot of pills in her drawer, mostly sleeping pills and pain relievers. She probably works a lot for her to take those pills. When I finished with the room, I took a brief scan to make sure all was well then left. I walked the quiet hallway quickly, hoping not to run into any of the twins. I know very well that I will not be able to avoid them for long but it's best if I don't get caught on my first day. I hurried down the stairs and to my right heading for the kitchen when I heard that familiar voice approaching, Logan's voice, I could hear him talking to someone but I didn't hear any response. I heard no interest in knowing who he was talking to and with my racing heart, I took a 180-degree turn and hurried to a different direction. Which lead me to the backyard. Damn. You know those things Rich people do with the land at the back of their house, where they plant hundreds of trees of different kinds and they would be a part where one would take a stroll in the evening, or morning before sunrise, there would be a beautiful lake somewhere and at night, the place would look like a dark woods. The Max family owned a forest, at the back of their mansion. A nice-looking forest. I had the urge to take a look around the place. Take pictures if possible but I have work to do. I waited outside for a while and when I was certain that Logan would be far from sight, I hurried back to work.

'' Are you done '' Ava asked the moment I walked into the kitchen and I nodded with a smile

'' Yeah '' I walked up to one of the stools and sat down

'' You are fast '' she compliments

'' I know ''

'' Are you hungry?''

'' mmm.. a little '' she smiled

'' you should have eaten something the moment you got here '' Spoke as she walked up to the freezer. Opened it and took out two takeaways '' What do you like to take with White rice '' she walked up to the microwave and opened it
